Volkswagen will double Tiguan production

Volkswagen has announced that due high demand the production of the Tiguan Crossover will be doubled from 220 cars a day to 400 or 450. In only one month Volkswagen sold 100.000 units and any client needs to wait at least 10 months to get its Tiguan.

If demand will keep growing Volkswagen might increase production to 600 units a day. Tiguan is currently sold at a price starting $22,490.

Tiguan is being offered with three new TSIs – direct injection engines with turbocharging or turbocharging plus supercharging. The four cylinders deliver 150 hp, 170 hp and 200 hp. The two TDIs output 140 hp and 170 hp.
