The Volkswagen Scirocco->ke1517 is proving to be tuner car favorite. This makes sense because although the car looks unique, the car is heavily based on existing VW parts. Many tuners already have parts that will bolt right on, and the Scirocco is more rare and carries less of a family resemblance than a VW Golf/Rabbit. In fact, since the Scirocco is not sold in the U.S., it may just become the new favorite grey market import like the R32 through R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R.

So for a car this unique, why would a tuner like Rieger make a body kit that makes the Scirocco look like an Audi R8? Sure the R8 is a cool car, and Audi is in the VW family, but the Scirocco should have earned enough credit to keep its own personality. Any customer that must go with Rieger should probably pick one of its two other bumper designs.
