Ferrari secretly working on special edition 599XX EVO

ferrari secretly working on special edition 599xx evo picture

Just a few weeks ago, it was rumored that Ferrari was working on a special edition 599 bearing the name of the great Fernando Alonso. That may still be the case, but if that model does come along, it will be paired with the sports car in these new spy shots. Apparently, Ferrari has developed a special lightweight 599XX EVO that was built as part of a private program.

The new 599XX Evo was seen last week when it was showed to a group of select customers at the Ferrari Mondiali event inside Ferrari. It was created for Ferrari Corse Clienti (race clients) and made for use only in Ferrari track events. Spy shots reveal an aerodynamic package that includes a large rear wing, a new exhaust package, electronic upgrades, and larger brakes.

As for what this new sports car is packing in terms of power, no information has been provided. We can only assume that it will have a similar setup to the standard 599XX: a 6.3L V12 engine delivering up to 700 HP.

The new Ferrari 599XX Evo will make its official debut in March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned!

Walt Disney World Speedway adds Exotic Driving Experience

walt disney world speedway adds exotic driving experience picture

Whether you’re a kid or not, the name "Walt Disney" should instantly ignite a certain amount of joy. We’ve all been flipping through the television channels and stopped at a Disney cartoon just for a few minutes. Disney has been around for years bringing that kind of long-lasting joy for people, and now they are bringing it once again with the new additions to the Walt Disney World Speedway.

The Walt Disney World Speedway is a racing facility located on the grounds of the Walt Disney World resort near Orlando, Florida, but don’t expect to see Lightning McQueen racing around the track. The speedway has recently added a new Exotic Driving Experience that includes some of the most amazing supercars in the world – the Ferrari F430, Ferrari 458 Italia, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4, Audi R8, and Porsche 911 GT3 RS 997.

If you are interested, the experience will officially begin on January 16, 2012.

Video: Bugatti Veyron vs. Koenigsegg CCXR

First and foremost, we’d like to admit that we aren’t exactly huge fans of the Bugatti Veyron. We respect the fact that it is one of the most powerful cars in the world with a turbocharged 16 cylinder engine and 1001 HP, but a car with a price tag as high as the Veyron’s should have been a little easier on the eyes.

Koenigsegg models, on the other hand, have a wonderful combination of beauty and power wrapped up in one car. We could go into the sheer beauty of the Agera, but that’s not what we are here for. We are here to talk about the CCXR - one of the stars in this video. It features a 1018 HP V8 engine and can hit a top speed of 250 mph.

Regardless of which supercar tickles your fancy, both are present in this video, in pure white exterior paint finishes and delivering pure thrills as well.

Video: Underground Racing Lamborghini Gallardos vs. AMS Nissan GT-R Street Racing

Underground Racing has made a name for itself by providing some of the most amazing tuning projects for a number of sports cars. Not only do these packages improve on the base product, but they take it to the extremes in the most fantastic way possible. One example of their work is the Gallardo TT, which comes in three different engine upgrades with power ranging from 650 WHP to 1250 WHP.

Then there’s the other tuning company with similar skills as that of Underground Racing. AMS Performance has grown keen of the Nissan GT-R (who wouldn’t?) and their packages for Godzilla tend to be absolutely breathtaking. Their most notable work is the impressive Alpha 12 package that delivers an impressive 1,318 HP.

This type of background information was necessary to set up the latest video to grab out attention. Now, the recipe is as follows: take three cars - two UG Gallardos (one with a manual gearbox, and one with an E-Gear transmission) and an AMS Alpha 12 -, a dark night with no cops around, and a street where you can push the two cars to their limits. Calculated, that adds up to about 3800 HP all in one place. The winner? Who cares, just enjoy the sound of these three amazing cars.

2012 Lexus LX 570 by JT Grey Racing

lexus lx 570 by jt grey racing picture

The 2011 SEMA Show gave JT Grey Racing the opportunity to take on Lexus’ mighty LX 570. Their package is as rough and tough as any other, ready to take on the sand-filled crusade of the Baja 1000.

The LX570 by JT Grey Racing was hooked up with a HeadFirst Design graphic design, Blue Media/3M vehicle wrap, and 6 KC Hilites- 70w carbon fiber HID off road lighting. Large 17" F-Sport forged Off-Road wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Baja TA 37"x 12.50 race tires will help it survive in any gnarly desert conditions. The interior of the LX570 was also upgraded with Sparco USA- EVO seats, a Sparco USA steering wheel, Lowrance HD7 / LMF 400 GPS navigation, and Kenwood 110 with PCI radio/intercom.

The Baja Series is no joke, so JT Grey Racing also upped the performance ante with new OE/TRD pads brakes, a King Racing Shocks suspension system, and a Flowmaster/Geiser exhaust system.

The final product looks to kill, but Toyota has already penned the Long Beach Racers Tacoma as their entrant into the Baja Series. As far as we know, the company isn’t looking to change their mind. That being said, JT Grey Racing is planning to enter the LX 570 in next year’s race.
