The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition is already a special vehicle on its own. But for all of the muscle car’s awesomeness, O.CT Tuning has a way to turn it into something even more worthy of its special edition badge.
The Swiss tuner has just released a new performance package for the American muscle car, one that would make even Bumblebee proud. On its own, the Camaro Transformers Edition is already powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces an impressive 602 horsepower and 503 lb/ft of torque. Not content with that output, O.CT Tuning decided to add a supercharger and a new stainless steel exhaust system to the mix.
The result? An increased output of 630 horsepower and 538 lb/ft of torque for the Transformers-badged Camaro.
Surely, owners of the Camaro Transformers Edition are already enjoying the muscle car’s Rally Yellow exterior paint job, which is exactly the same as the one Bumblebee sports in the three Transformers movies. Add in the black rally stripes that run the length of the vehicle, the high-wing spoiler, the new set of 20" black-painted wheels wrapped in high-performance summer tires, and the distinctive Autobot logo on the center caps and front quarter panels, and you have a special edition muscle car that brings new definition to the unmistakable Transformers phrase "more than meets the eye."
Some people just have higher standards than others. For those people that belong in this group, you can point to a standard Mercedes SLS AMG and bemuse at the supecar’s 563-horsepower and say that it isn’t enough. Fortunately for them, there’s a tuning company like HMS Tuning that can satisfy their unquenchable thirst for speed and power.
The Malterdingen-based tuning company has taken a stock SLS AMG and given the performance upgrade it deserves. The program utilizes HMS Tuning’s Xtra Power Supercharger, an intake manifold, an uprated oil pump, an additional ECU to control boost and fueling, sports air filter, and complete exhaust system which includes 4-1 manifolds, 200 CPI Sports Cats and valve control, and a newly developed forced induction program for the Mercedes supercar’s 6.2-liter V8 engine. This intensive modification program provides the SLS AMG with a nasty 720 horsepower and 614 lb/ft of torque, up from the stock 563 horsepower and 479 lb/ft of torque.
That kind of output - 720 ponies! - is the kind that makes a supercar like the SLS AMG into a rocket on two wheels.
Every so often, a tuning firm comes out of the woodwork to present a program that takes your breath away. Evolution 2 Motorsport isn’t what you’d consider a household name in the tuning world, but when they came out with the Ferrari 458 Italia Emozione, we couldn’t help but stop and take notice.
On the visual front, Evolution 2 Motorsport dressed up the Italian supercar with plenty of carbon fiber components, including a new front splitter, a rear spoiler lip, mirror shrouds, a new double rear diffuser, and engine bay surrounds on both the front and sides. In addition, the tuning company also added a chrome-effect mesh, custom alloy pedals, and a new set of 21" alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the Ferrari 458 Italia’s 4.5-liter V8 engine was given its own upgrade, thanks to the inclusion of a new large-volume carbon fiber airbox, a titanium exhaust with blue end tips, and a re-programmed ECU unit. All these changes offer a significant bump in output for the Italian supercar, from the standard 562 horsepower all the way up to 602 horsepower.
Throughout the 1960s and 70s, Motion Performance was the largest company that performed aftermarket tuning on GM vehicles. While designing the Corvette Manta Ray GT, one of many Motion Performance-tuned vehicles, builders used a 1972 `Vette as a model to explore different design schemes and see what worked.
This concept car made its auto show rounds, changing owners many times in the process, but most enthusiasts simply saw it as a deformed version of the Manta Ray GT. Several years ago this custom Corvette made its way back onto the selling block and when its original builder, Joel Rosen, was question about it from a potential buyer, he wrote it off as a poorly duplicated version of one of Motion’s Corvette kits.
As time went by and Rosen learned a little more about the car, he came to find out that this was the long-lost and long-forgotten concept car he worked on in 1972. Talk about a strange set of events to lead up to finding one of the rarest Corvettes on the planet.
Ultimately, the detail that gave the Corvette away was a flawed paint job that remained underneath certain panels on the vehicle. This type of painting flaw – using a primer that it too dark for its yellow top coat – created a nasty green-like color that was later painted over with pearl yellow paint.
This awesome Motion Maco Shark/Motion Manta Ray GT hybrid is truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle that is lucky to be around, and collectors around the world can now find it for sale again on Ebay. Is this Custom Corvette Mutt up to snuff for a collector to sink some serious cash into?

When it comes about the Lamborghini Aventador there isn’t much you can change. But as usual, its the little changes that make a great car looking even greater. And this is where tuners like SR Auto Group came into focus and they do their magic.
The tuner’s latest tuning kit is called "Project Supremacy" and we tend to believe they couldn’t find a better name for it. Just watch the images and you will agree with us. But do not imagine that SR Auto did some extraordinary changes. No! As usual they have only added a new set of wheels from PUR Wheels. In a 20/21" setup, featuring a modern matte-black face and the beautifully captivating, Rose Gold Lip, these new wheels seems to be just the right addition.
And when you add a Lamborghini Murcielago in the background then you definitely obtain an amazing combination. We’ll just hope you’ll enjoy it!
A standard Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 can hit a top speed of "only" 184 mph. But the package recently announced by Lingenfelter has managed the impossible: at a recent test drive at the Continental Tire’s Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas on April 30th their car hit a top speed of 202.67 mph. However, it took another two tries before scoring this impressive result, but the car "only" managed to hit 199.8 and 199.9 mph respectively. Behind the wheel was Hot Rod boss David Freiburger.
This impressive Camaro ZL1 has been equipped with a GT9 camshaft, CNC ported cylinder heads, an increased supercharger speeds, custom air intake with LPE’s race mesh filter, Continental ExtremeContact(tm) DW tires and production ZL1 wheels. But the most impressive thing is the car’s output: a total of 720 HP and 650 lbs. ft. of torque at the rear wheels!
We have to remind you that the same car scored an impressive quarter-mile time just a few weeks ago: 11.03 seconds at 130 mph.
Ford and Roush have joined forced one more time and have developed a one-off Stage 3 Mustang that will put on auction May 16th, as part of the SAE Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. All the proceeds will go to SAE and will help to promote and support foundation’s math and science education programs.
The car will be painted in custom silver and will feature a pretty impressive Roush body kit. It will include a hood scoop, a new grille with RS3 badge, a Ford Laguna Seca Boss front chin splitter, a rear decklid spoiler and valance and dual chamber exhaust tips. This impressive body kit will be combined with lots of painted graphics and the signature of Edsel Ford II, Bill Ford Jr. and Jack Roush.
For the interior Roush will add Recaro seats, a Ford Laguna Seca X Brace, illuminated door sill plates, a Roush gauge cluster and billet pedals.
The car will keep the same supercharged 5.0L-4v powertrain found in the 2013 Stage 3 models, but output will be increased from 565 HP to 625HP and 540 ft-lbs. And in order to handle the extra power the tuner will add a Roush-tuned suspension; SVT GT500 track pack wheels and Roush four-piston brakes.
UPDATE 05/20/12: The Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang Special Edition has been sold with a final bid for the car reaching $100,000. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to benefit the SAE Foundation’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education programs.
For the reputation that they’ve built as one of the finest Mercedes tuners in the world, Brabus is more than just fitting powerful V12 engines in their rocket vehicles. They’ve also found a way to be eco-friendly, and they’re doing so with the Brabus Techology Project Hybrid E-Class.
Based on the Mercedes E-Class sedan, the Technology Project Hybrid is a car that Brabus carefully modified to be the kind of eco-friendly diesel hybrid vehicle that fans of Mother Nature will love.
This is proof that you can have your cake and definitely eat it too.
So instead of a V12 engine, Brabus went and fitted a 2.2-liter clear diesel engine and combined with a pair of in-wheel electric motors that were sourced from Protean Electric. Each motor is capable of producing 110 horsepower and 590 lb/ft of torque and when combined with the 2.2 L diesel engine, allows the car to hit 0-62 mph in a pretty impressive 7.4 seconds. More impressive than that is that with this powertrain, the E-Class can improve its fuel economy by a staggering 30 percent, which is out-of-this-world for a car like a Mercedes.
Full specs behind the Brabus Technology Project Hybrid E-Class have yet to be announced, but from what we’ve gathered, this looks like a project that’s definitely worth keeping our tabs on.
Last year a British bespoke tuning company called Imperium has unveiled a very cool tuning package called Audentia based on the Bentley Continental GT. Now the tuner repeats the history, but this time the Audentia package is based on the Bentley Continental GTC. Just like with its coupe sibling, the new Audentia GTC will be built in a limited edition and is now available to order directly only through UK based Imperium.
The Audentia GTC package will be distinguished by a new front bumper with grille, air vents and visually lowering sport side skirts. For the rear the tuner added a custom rear apron with a new subtle boot lip spoiler, rear diffuser and newly designed sports exhaust tips. All the elements will be built in the finest ultra light prepreg autoclave carbon fiber.
Imperium did not revealed the prices for the new tuning kit, but we believe it will be similar to the coupe version: £25,000, which is around $39,400 based on current exchange rates.
This isn’t Kahn’s first go-around with the Vesuvius package - earlier this year, they announced the 2012 Range Rover Sport Vesuvius Edition - but this new rendition is just as striking. The tuning firm has applied the same Vesuvius package to the scintillating Evoque, which means the luxury SUV has been painted in a very cool Vesuvius orange to give that striking appearance that screams for attention.
Next to this amazing color, the Evoque has also received a full conversion kit for both the exterior and interior. For the exterior, the new Evoque Vesuvius Edition features a new front bumper, rear diffuser and side vents, all in matte pearl gray. These subtle features are highlighted by Vesuvius Orange brake calipers. The car sits on a new set of 21" unique RSXF wheels combined with a lowering sports suspension system.
For the interior, Kahn covered the door panel tops in quilted and perforated leather with orange stitching interior, while a combination of black quilted and perforated leather with alcantara inserts and Vesuvius orange leather was used for the entire car.
If you are interested, you can have the car for a total of £48,875, or about $79,000 at the current exchange rates.
