It has been a very busy few weeks for the team at Forza Horizon 2. The new game will be available in just a few short weeks and the list of cars coming to the game is growing quickly. We started with the first 100 a few weeks ago, and since then there have been 31 more cars made official. Yesterday, we noticed that an all-new trailer for the game showcased at least three other cars that had not been announced.

That is now only partially true, as Forza Horizon 2’s latest batch of official cars includes the Rally Fighter. Overall, we have 45 more cars to add the official list of the first 100, and there are some good ones here. From classic metal like the AMC Javelin and the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe , to legendary rally machines like the Lancia Stratos HF Stradale and the Audi Sport Quattro there is something for everyone. For the entire list of new additions, as well as highlights and photos for 11 cars form the list just take a look after the break.

Make sure to let us know which one of these cars is your favorite in the comments.

Microsoft had its big Gamescom conference today and announced some really cool stuff for its Forza series. The first piece of big news was the announcement of a new car pack that featured the Rolls Royce Wraith , and the second was some new and exciting footage for Forza Horizon 2. While watching the video however, I discovered a few things. New cars to be exact, and none of them have been officially announced yet.

Did they try to sneak one under our noses here?

The cars in questions are the Local Motors Rally Fighter and the KTM X-Bow . The Rally fighter is seen in two sequences in the distance as the player chases it. It can be slightly hard to make out, but it is very obviously the Rally Fighter. The scene we have captured here also looks as though the Bowler EXR S will be included as well.

The "driver’s" car in this shot of the Rally FIghter looks like a Range Rover sport , but it also bears a striking resemblance to the modified Bowler as well. I can’t tell definitively form this shot, but I am 90-percent sure we are looking at a Bowler.

The KTM was more prominently on display, but only if you know what to look for. There is an off-road scene that is being raced from the cockpit point of view. The open chassis car could be mistaken for the already announced Ariel Atom, but anyone who knows the X-Bow will recognize those fenders. You can see screenshots of both cars, comparison photos to their real life counterparts, and the entire video above.

We have reached out to Turn 10 and will update with their response.

Let me know your thoughts on all this in the comments below.

You may have seen our awesome interview and screenshots of the newly announced Rolls Royce Wraith for Forza Motorsport 5, but that isn’t the only car that is being released today. Along with the new Rolls, Forza Motorsport 5 is getting five other cars that cover a broad range of cars. We have the future of America’s muscle car , the future of formula racing , and we even have the future of super sedans too. There is also a little something special for Top Gear fans included as well.

I’m not one for spoiling surprises, so you will just have to click through to see what new cars are in store for all you Xbox One and Forza Motorsport 5 owners.

If you see something you like, don’t forget, the pack is available now and it is 100-percent free. It is only a side thing to note, but if you use a racing wheel with your Xbox, the new car pack and included updates adds a little polishing to the code to make those work better too.

That is right, folks. The all-new Rolls Royce Wraith is coming to Forza Motorsport 5, and we have exclusive details and images. During today’s Gamescom press conference in Germany, Microsoft and Turn 10 announced that Rolls Royce is bringing the new Wraith to an Xbox One console near you.

Being the most powerful and dynamic Rolls Royce ever created, it does seem like the perfect candidate for inclusion in the latest and greatest racing simulation.

Not only is Forza the first to get the Wraith, but this is actually the first time Rolls Royce has licensed any car for use in a racing game. This is history in the making, and you get the chance to participate. The new car pack features the Wraith and five new cars for the game. Best of all, the pack is 100-percent free and if you own an Xbox One, you can download it, RIGHT NOW.

Yeah, I’ll repeat that for you. Free and available now.

Turn 10 decided that since TopSpeed’s readers are so amazing, they would give us a pair of exclusive images and chance for a sweet interview with themselves and with Rolls Royce. You can see our other exclusive image of the new Wraith and read both of the interviews after the break.

Gran Turismo 6 is a car enthusiast’s dream. What GT6, or any Gran Turismo for that matter, offers is a chance to get as close as possible to the cars we love that we can’t drive in the real world. This is especially true for concept cars. Most concept cars never make it to production, and when they do, they usually end up resembling so little of the concept that it turns out to be a disappointment. Concept cars always look so much better than production cars because the design team has no boundaries or regulations to follow. The FT-1 is no different, as it simply looks fantastic. It was next to the Mercedes-Benz stand at the NYIAS and it stole most of the show-goers away from the German automaker’s. So when GT6 and Toyota announced that they would be making an FT-1 for the new game new game, with a 30 second teaser video, it obviously got all of us excited. It’s called the FT-1 Vision GT Concept, and it looks spectacular with it’s scoops, louvers and all that exposed carbon fiber. Let’s hope it drives as well as it looks, digitally of course.

Updated 08/14/2014: Toyota unveiled the official details and images on the FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo Concept set to be offered for Gran Turismo 6 users from September. Details after the jump.

BIG NEWS EVERYONE! Tomorrow at Gamescom in Germany, Microsoft’s Xbox team and the group behind Forza Motorsport have a very special announcement to make. The best part is we have exclusive information and the details surrounding it.

We aren’t allowed to tell you what is going on right now, but if you head back to TopSpeed.com tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. EDT all will be revealed. We’re not ones to tease, but this news is so cool and exciting that we couldn’t help ourselves.

While you wait for the announcement, feel free to offer some speculation on what you think might be coming in the comments below. If one of you guys gets it right, we will be sure to give you a shout out saying congratulations on the next live episode of the TopSpeed Podcast .

So we will see all of you tomorrow morning to talk about the crazy and cool news coming out of Xbox and Forza Motorsport.

It appears that the future of gaming may be upon us and it wears the name “4K.” With four times the numbers of pixels on the screen, all your games are supposed to look extra crisp and all those little details will stand out in the distance. Imagine how much better a game like Forza Motorsports or Gran Turismo would be if they looked even better.

Two of the latest and greatest racing games out right now, Grid Autosport and Next Car Game, both are 4K ready, and I wanted to see if there really was a big difference in how it feels to play a racing game with a setup like this.

I was able to snag a 4K resolution monitor from the fine folks at Asus, and I got to work. With the cost of 4K monitors still high, is this something anyone should consider?

Check out the future of gaming in 4K after the break.

It Starts!! With the impending release of a new racing game comes the slow release of the car and track lists, and Forza Horizon 2 is no different. While previously we had a look at some of the cars through the announcement trailer , now we are getting an official list. This announcement lists the first 100 cars of the more than 200 that are promised, and it actually features five cars that have never been in any Forza game.

The five new cars are the 1973 Renault Alpine A110 1600S, 2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR, 1945 Jeep Willys MB, 1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Luxe, and the 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE. Yeah a classic military Jeep a few legendary sports cars and the VW bus. This game is going to have quite the eclectic collection. If you want to know every car that has been announced so far, you can find the full list of 100 cars after the jump.

It also seems as though the team at Turn 10 and Playground Games have actually given us a 101st car announcement as well, but you need to know what to look for. In the large image we have here of all the cars, you will notice that there are some silhouettes below the new machines. While it is a simple repeating pattern of three cars, you may notice that only two of those cars are actually on the official car list; the Pagani Huayra and the McLaren P1 . The third car looks like an R35 Nissan GT-R to me. Considering the R35 is in Forza 5 it doesn’t come as a surprise to see it here, but it hasn’t been officially announced for the game yet.

Forza and Turn 10 Studios have been on a roll lately with tons of new DLC, and a lot of it has been completely free of charge. The latest freebie from Forza was the famed Nurburgring making its way into Forza Motorsport 5 , resulting in lots of cheers from gamers around the world. Now Turn 10 is releasing even more DLC, in the form of the Hot Wheels Pack, but it is not quite free.

This package will run you a cool $9.99, and it nets you all sorts of tasty metal from the past and present. In total, you will get 10 cars for your 999 hard-earned pennies. These cars include the 2013 Lamborghini Veneno , 1974 Toyota Celica GT, 1939 Audi Auto Union Type D, 1967 Lotus Type 49, 2013 Mazda #7 Andretti Autosport USF2000, 1952 Ferrari 375, 2015 Audi S3 Sedan, 1956 Ford F-100, 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT, and 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500.

Some cars on this list are super-rare, some are flat-out bad-ass, but others are just a little bit odd. The GMC Vandura and the 1956 F-100 are two that are the oddballs of the bunch. But I guess Forza caters to a wide array of racers, some of which find creepy vans and old pickup trucks to be good race cars .

For almost every racing game, there is a great hero car. For the classic Need for Speed: Most Wanted it was the BMW M3 GTR, for Gran Turismo 1 & 2 it was the Nissan GT-R , and now for the upcoming Forza Horizon 2 it will be the all-new Lamborghini Huracan.

Lamborghini ’s newest car replaces the Gallardo , the best-selling car Lamborghini has ever created, and it features an uprated version of the V-10 found in its predecessor. The exact car that players will be chasing after in the new Forza Horizon game is the Huracan LP 610-4 and it will be wearing a shade dubbed Midas Yellow.

If the new Forza Horizon follows the same series of events as the first Horizon game, players will start the game in a low-level car and be tasked with racing your way into ever faster cars by beating rivals and challenges. Your final rival will be driving the new Huracan.

In another milestone occasion for Turn 10 Studios, this will be the first time a digital version of the Huracan is available to drive in any game. Look for Forza Horizon 2 to hit the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles later this fall.
