Electronic Arts (EA) has released a new video about Need For Speed that details the Most Wanted Single Player campaign, as well as the Fairhaven City. This is the home of the 10 Most Wanted drivers, who stand in your way of becoming the Most Wanted. With all of the cars being available at the start, if you can find it, you can drive it.
The game comes with an Easy Drive system that allows for truly seamless driving experience with no pausing necessary. This system will offer the players the possibility to drive or go directly to a race’s starting line, and swap cars and performance mods without having to leave gameplay or leave the open-world behind.
The all new features of Autolog 2 will help you earn Speed Points which contribute to unlocking performance modifications and secure your rank on The Most Wanted List.

Forza Horizon will be making its official debut on October 23rd, but until that happens, Turn 10 Studios is providing us with a series of videos showing behind the scenes images of the upcoming game.
In Episode One, you get to meet some of the creators of the game and learn what makes Forza Horizon such an incredible new expression of the Forza series. The video also presents the beauty that is Colorado, the unadulterated joy that is night racing, and lots of cool details to whet your appetite for the game.
For those of us that grew up in the era of the Nintendo Entertainment System – no, not the Wii, DS, DSi, 3DS, Nintendo 64, or even the Super Nintendo – many of us got our first taste of driving from glitchy and graphic-light video games. One game that gave us our drive-it and shoot-em-up fix all in one was Spy Hunter, which debuted as a cabinet game – yeah, remember those big things – in 1983. Imagine it as Grand Theft Auto only 25-plus years ago, minus the out-of-car stuff.
Though the game is not one of my particular favorites, you just couldn’t pass up on a bad-ass rig, known as the G-1655 Interceptor that had more guns strapped to it than a warship. Unfortunately, the G-6155 was originally an early-1980s Camaro, boasting its emissions-choked 305-cubic-inch V-8.
Well, this game has been modernized and is set to be released next month with a completely redesigned and re-imagined G-1655. This rig is some weird hybrid of a supercar, kind of like a Lamborghini Aventador, Gallardo, and Reventon all got together one night and had a good old time.
Add a few massive cannons to the hood, some rocket launchers flanking it, a massive gun to its roof and various other defense systems, and you have one supercar we would never give a bad review.
To boot, the enemies that it’s thrashing to hell and back in the teaser video just happen to be a few very lightly disguised Mustangs. The Mustang-ites will likely have a wah-fest over that one…
Any who, the game drops for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS on October 9th, so if you’re feeling a little retro and want to drop $40 to satisfy your retro urges and take out some automotive frustrations, feel free to snag this game up. It’s bound to be a blast.
In the land where the Transformers were born - no, we’re not talking about Cybertron - a new robot franchise is set to be born and it’s serving notice to everyone that they’ve got the perfect car-to-robot set-up that could potentially replace Optimus Prime and company.
It’s called Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter - no idea what that means - and the early renderings of the characters show some definite promise, particularly the licensed vehicles that are expected to be part of the franchise. Check out the photos and you’ll see that there’s a Toyota GT 86, a Mazda RX-8, a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, and the Godzilla itself, the Nissan GT-R.
Created by Square Enix, the people behind the Final Fantasy video game franchise, Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter was first launched recently as an arcade game with an animated film version set to be released later this year.
No word on yet on whether this new animated franchise will head outside Japan, but from the looks of things, we’re expecting a lot based on what we’ve already seen.
To say that we’ve been waiting for this car pack to arrive can be construed as a massive understatement. If you’re wondering why, look no further than the featured car of Forza 4’s September Car Pack: The SRT Viper GTS-R.
Back in June, we got to play around with the SRT Viper - included in the June pack - in the game. Now, though, things get a little juicier with the inclusion of the SRT Viper GTS-R that competed in the ALMS series over the summer into Forza’s latest car pack. Both cars, #91 and #93, have been added to the game, which means that we can have double the fun destroying the competition with these two venomous bad boys finally in the game.
In addition to the pair of Viper GTS-R’s, Forza’s September Car Pack will also include the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, the 1960 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, and the 2011 Citroen DS4, among others.

It’s been a while since Rockstar Games released the latest installment of its hit Grand Theft Auto franchise, but all that appears to be irrelevant now that the newest trailer for the latest version, GTA V, has hit the web.
This time, the setting is Los Santos, a fictionalized town that greatly resembles Los Angeles. The open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay returns for another chapter in the hit game franchise that has broken multiple records during its run.
For this game, Rockstar Games released a number of teaser photos that include, most notably, the return of the Ferrari 512 TR-based Grotti Cheetah. If you remember, the supercar first appeared in GTA III before being surprisingly left out of GTA IV. With the fifth installment of the game, the Cheetah looks to be prowling the roads once again, only this time, it’s running roughshod over the streets of Los Santos.
There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to Gran Theft Auto V. If the Cheetah didn’t tickle your fancy, then how about a jet fighter patrolling the skies of the glitzy town of Los Santos?
Thrustmaster has a new racing game accessory and wouldn’t you know it, it’s as cool as the other side of the pillow.
Aptly named the Thrustmaster Ferrari Vibration GT Cockpit 458 Italia Edition, the racing peripheral is an 11" replica of the Ferrari 458 Italia’s wheel, providing gamers a unique interactive driving experience unlike anything they’ve ever seen before. The genuine leather steering wheel has been replaced with a rubber-coated wheel, but everything else remains the same - albeit replaced with buttons instead of the usual controls - including the Engine Start button and the turn signals. Even the sequential paddle shifters are also present and finished in brushed metal.
The accessory is also adaptable to riders of all sizes because it’s extendable, has an adjustable height, and an adjustable steering column. Heck, it’s also portable and foldable, allowing gamers to stow and move the peripheral anytime.
Finally, Thrustmaster also announced that the Ferrari Vibration GT Cockpit 458 Italia Edition comes with what it’s calling the Global Vibration System, a program that simulates the actual vibrations that come from driving an actual race car.

The Ferrari Vibration GT Cockpit 458 Italia Edition is compatible with the XBox and PC, and is scheduled to hit stores in October with a retail price of $299. Sure makes for a nice little early Christmas present, right?
Codemasters have just announced the new GRID 2, a racing game that will challenge players to be fast, be first, and be famous as they enter a stunning new world of competitive motorsport. With the new game, Codemasters are setting new standards for damage, AI and visuals, but will also raise the gameplay and technological bar for motorsport gaming. GRID 2 will be released in the summer of 2013 for Xbox 360, Microsoft, Playstation 3, and PC.

When Gran Turismo released its video racing simulator franchise four years ago with Nissan, that partnership eventually led to Gran Turismo: The Academy. Just like all genius ideas, further ideas sprout from said original idea to create another idea that leads to...well, you get the picture.
That’s why it comes as no surprise to us that the Gran Turismo 5: GT Academy Edition is dropping onto shelves in the next month. The pack - or in this case, disc - will include all the packs Gran Turismo has made available in the past couple years. Yep, you’ll get treated to Car Packs 1, 2, and 3, as well as Course Packs 1 and 2. It’ll also contain a Special Paint Pack, a Racing Gear Pack, and the cherry on top of the sundae, the Nissan GT-R that was used at the Nurburgring 24-Hour Endurance Race by Kazunori Yamauchi.
For the affordable price of €29.99 - that’s about $28 based on current rates - you can have all of it in one pretty cool package. Check out the video and you’ll probably be counting down the days to its release after you’re done.
Need for Speed World is putting together a big surprise for its players in celebration of the game’s second anniversary: they are offering up the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for free! Electronic Arts has also promised that a series of eight new supercars will be offered each month, but, unlike the ZL1, these upcoming rides will be purchased with SpeedBoost, the game’s digital currency. In addition to the Camaro ZL1, players will also have the chance to enjoy the Free Cam feature which will allow them to take the best pictures during the photography sessions.
As a reminder, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers an amazing 580 HP and 556 lb/ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. The muscle car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 184 mph.
This free sports car offering is only a tidbit of exciting news for the Need for Speed franchise. Earlier this month, we received the projected date of the Need For Speed movie’s opening: February 7, 2014.
