German tuners Carlsson have just released this rendering of a very wicked 2010 Mercedes E-Class. The bold muscular lines are more appropriate for an SL65 Black Series than Benz’s midsize sedan. Everything from the blistered and vented fenders to the aggressive 20 inch 1/5 Revo Carlsson wheels makes a little more sense when the tuners announced that the E500 will have a CM50K compressor under the hood.
The German tuners Carlsson specialize in modifying Mercedes products. Their latest creation the CK63S, which is built from a C63 AMG, combines high performance with upscale luxury. Up from the 460 HP offered from the factory, the Carlsson mechanics have extracted a total of 565 HP from the hand-built 6.3 liter V8.
The Mercedes Benz tuner Carlsson has just developed the lightest 21 inch wheel in the world. The 1/5 Evo Ultra Light rim weighs 24 pounds (10.8 kilograms), 40 percent less than any cast wheel of the same diameter. The 21 inch 1/5 Evo UL will be available in 9 and 10.5 inch widths for the Mercedes Benz S Class, CL and GLK models.
Mercedes Benz tuners Carlsson have just released the most powerful naturally aspirated GL in the world. The Mercedes GL 500 comes from the factory with a 5.4 liter 48 valve V8 that produces 388 HP. The Carlsson Aigner CK55 RS Rascasse, benefits from a free flowing exhaust system, ported and polished cylinder heads, more aggressive camshafts and a reprogrammed ECU. All these modifications are worth an additional 70 HP bumping the peak output to 456 HP. Due to the added power the CK55 is able to sprint from 0-60 MPH (0-100 km/hr) in just 5.9 seconds, knocking off just over half a second from the standard GL 500 (6.5 seconds).
Carlsson decided to compliment the powerful SUV with a set of their three-piece forged alloys with a highly polished lip. The massive 23 inch wheels are wrapped in low profile 305/30 rubber. The German tuners have also modified the suspension to go along with the added bling. Using their C-tronic suspension (Carlsson electronic lowering kit) the CK55 lowers the factory Mercedes Benz Airmatic suspension by 40 mm.
The two tone Carlsson Aigner CK55 RS Rascasse will debut at the Geneva Auto Show and the German aftermarket company plans on a limited run of only 20 units.
Because you want to look like a pimp (in the fur coat and “give me my money” way, not the cool high schooler way), but Fab Design’s Maybach 57 is a out of your price range. Carlsson is offering to use everything it has in its arsenal to “upgrade” your Mercedes S-Class.
The Mercedes tuners from Germany, Carlsson have just released their 1/5 REVO wheel for the entire Benz line. The wheels are a split spoke design finished with a combination of a reflective surface followed by a matte black spoke makes a very aggressive design, especially on a black Benz.
The CarlssonSL CK63 RS debuted last year at the Essen Motor Show, but not until today has the German tuning company revealed its official specifications. The first thing that catches your eye is the car’s black matte finish, then you notice the improvements in aerodynamics. Consisting of a re-designed front bumper, new side sills, a rear boot spoiler and a new rear bumper with an upgraded diffuser with integrated exhaust cutouts.
Carlsson also fitted a new braking system along with a new set of 20 inch wheels fitted with Dunlop SP SportMaxx high performance tires.
The interior is even more refined then what you would come to expect from a Mercedes. The Germans use the finest leather to upholster the seats and the highest quality varnish and carbon-fiber accessories.
Under the hood, the V8 engine was boosted to an impressive 600 hp and 705 Nm of torque. Up from 525 horsepower and 630 Nm in the standard SL 63 AMG. All this force propels the German vehicle to 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds while the top speed is limited to 202 mph.
Carlsson, the automobile manufacturer based in Merzig specializes in improving Mercedes Benz versions, astound with a fresh high-rate RS-design package for the S-class in either genuine carbon, a material which is primarily employed in the Formula 1 or in polyurethane. The individualistic overall package offers the S-class long version, the V221, an even more athletic and haunting appearance. Employing the RS-concept and the most valuable material, ensures an unparalleled individuality and distinctiveness of the Carlsson S-class.
The expanded carbon package for the S-class is composed of well chosen parts. The incorporated front apron and the front spoiler lips highly improve the overall athletic profile. Furthermore, the front view is obvious for its fashionable round Carlsson insignia for the front engine cover and distinctive grill insert. A set of particularly curved side skirts complete with stainless steel grill inserts gives the sides of the Mercedes an even faster and tougher appearance.
Based on the Mercedes CL luxury coupe, the new Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Eau Rouge Dark comes in two levels of performance: the first level offers 705 hp while the second level takes the V12 Bi-Turbo to 765 hp (315 hp more than a CL65 AMG.)
The new vehicle comes also with a new carbon-fiber body kit featuring a new front lip spoiler, new side sills, a new trunk spoiler and a rear lip spoiler with integrated rear air diffuser. The kit also features 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, and a new suspension that lowers the vehicle up to 30 mm.
The Dark Edition with 765 hp sprints from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds, not bad for a ca the weighs over two tons. In fact, that’s 0.1 second faster than the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series. Top speed is limited to 208 mph.
Pricing starts at €319,000 for the 705 hp version (about $407,000 at current rates) and €374,000 (about $477,000 at current rates) for the V12 with 785 hp.
