Mercedes-Benz tuning specialists Carlsson have joined forces with international leather-lifestyle brand Etienne Aigner to develop the Carlsson Aigner CK65 "Eau Rouge". Made in an exclusive small series, the luxury coupé based on the Mercedes-Benz CL produces over 700 bhp and 1,100 Nm after being breathed on by Carlsson.
With the new C Class, Mercedes Benz continues the successful story of this compact executive car. Nevertheless, Carlsson has already devoted considerable attention to the saloon resulting in a new automotive dimension in both visual and dynamic terms. The company achieved these goals through a variety of measures including elegant aerodynamic parts, a performance kit, new wheels and improved interior appointments. The result is a vehicle that meets the highest expectations of driving pleasure and active safety – not a dazzler but a car with race-track engineering that meets the promise of looks and paper form.
The most imposing vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz range is the GL Class. Despite its robust nature, this all-terrain vehicle is also distinguished by an ambience that captivates S Class drivers. Now, the impression of luxury given can be refined even more at Carlsson in the southwest German town of Merzig. The GL 500 promises a good combination of long-range ability and excellent performance. As the CK50 by Carlsson, however, it surpasses its standard counterpart by far in terms of power, speed and luxury.
A coupé with the room of an S Class? Anyone looking for a vehicle of this kind need look no further than the same company. The CL, one of the biggest coupés around, is one of the most luxurious in its class. Carlsson, one of the most discerning Mercedes-Benz tuners in the business, has focused on the CL and refined the luxury coupé with an interior of the highest quality and an engine tweak that improves not only performance but also drivability. The CK60 based on the CL is nothing less than THE dream coupé.
Carlsson, based in Merzig in the Saar, offers the CK55 RS performance kit for all MB vehicles with the M113, 5.5-liter supercharged AMG engine type. Carlsson thereby alters compressor transmission, resulting in a higher maximum compressor RPM. This allows Carlsson to raise the boost pressure and thus the required air flow rate. The combined result is then significantly enhanced performance.
Since 2005, Carlsson has being taking part with a CK35 RS on the basis of the Mercedes SLK 350 in the BF Goodrich Long-Distance Cup. It uses this exercise, as with other races it has participated in with different vehicles in the past, to test out new products, which incorporate its vast experience from long-distance motor racing.
