Carlsson

During the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Carlsson unveiled the first upgrade package for the 2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG , but it seems they opted out of taking a vacation over the summer to present us with something new. For the 2011 Frankfurt Show, the tuner has revealed the CK63 RS; a new package with even more impressive exterior modifications and an extra 50 HP over the previous package.

The new CK63 RS starts off with the new CLS63 AMG equipped with the AMG Performance Package which increases the V8’s engine output to 557 HP and 589 lbs-ft (up from 525 HP and 516 lbs-ft of torque). After a few tuning tweaks, the new CK63 RS delivers a total of 649 HP and 663 lbs-ft of torque, sprinting the Mercedes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.

The exterior design for the new generation Mercedes CL S isn’t ho-hum by any means, but the added muscle provided by Carlsson warranted some changes. For that the tuner added a new front spoiler, a carbon fiber front spoiler lip, painted stainless steel grille inserts, a discrete trunk lip spoiler, and a new rear bumper. There is also a new set of 20" wheels in a double spoke design (available in Brilliant Edition, Graphite Edition, and Titanium Edition) and a new stainless steel sport exhaust system with 4 oval end pipes.

The Mercedes can also be lowered by about 30mm with a Carlsson patented suspension with two sport springs. This suspension reads the road conditions every 150 milliseconds and adjusts accordingly.

For the interior, customers can choose between wood, leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. The vehicle’s door panels, seats, and the rear seat bench are covered in Mokka brown Carlsson nappa leather and the dashboard, door panels, and center console have dark brown/matte carbon inlays. Other features of the interior include illuminated door sill panels, soft velour floor mats with a Carlsson logo, and brushed aluminum door pins.

The Carlsson C25 officially debuted last year at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, and this year it’s back in Geneva with more goodies and an even cooler name. The Super GT C25 Royale is a tuning project based on the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG . It includes an abundance of carbon fiber elements, as well as optimized driving dynamics and perfected electronics. Carlsson will only build 25 units of the C25 Royale, one unit for each country the vehicle will be sold in.

"There are more than enough super cars around that can only be driven safely on a racing track", says engineer Markus Schuster, Managing Director at Carlsson. "We deliberately wanted to develop a car that is exclusive on the one hand but can still be used for the daily commute to the office. A Super GT which can go from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.7 seconds while at the same time offering the utmost in ride comfort."

At the end of 2010, Carlsson revealed an impressive tuning package for the new generation Mercedes CLS-Class . Now the tuner has moved on to the most powerful model in the CLS lineup: the CLS 63 AMG .

For the CLS 63 AMG package, the 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been updated to deliver an impressive 600 HP, up from the standard 518 HP and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Next to this, the tuner is offering a nifty aerodynamic package that includes a new front spoiler, an RS front spoiler lip (available in real carbon), a new rear spoiler, a rear apron, and a built-in diffuser which functions as a tailplane and ensures extra downforce and more stable road holding at high speeds.

As an added bonus, this package can be applied to any other model in the CLS-Class line-up.

Carlsson unveiled the C25 tuning kit for the Mercedes SL600 at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Now that the first rollout of the Carlsson C25 took place on the Formula 1-track in Hockenheim, Carlsson has also prepared a C25 package for the Smart Fortwo.

The C25 Smart edition offers exclusive upholstery (same colors as the C25 bound with gray and orange), aluminum pedals, wheels and tires specific, a new line exhaust, and some elements of the traditional C25 body kit.

It is powered by a 84hp turbo engine or a choice of two naturally aspirated engine versions, delivering 61/71 bhp, respectively. The turbo engine is paired with a stainless-steel rear silencer with four polished exit pipes and the two naturally aspirated versions offer the silencer with an end-pipe only system.

Like with the C25 supercar, the Smart Edition will also be limited to 25 units. It will carry a price tag of 50,000 euro.

Carlsson revealed the first details on the C25, a tuning kit based on the Mercedes SL600 set to be released in March at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. To ensure the car’s exclusivity the tuner announced that there will only be 25 units produced, with only one unit for a certain country.

The C25 is powered by a 6.0 Liter V12 Bi-Turbo engine with an amazing output of 753 HP and 1150 Nm. Translated into performance this means a sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 201 MPH.

If Brabus focused their attention of the S-Class for thew Frankfurt Motor Show, Carlsson moved their attention to the E63 AMG sports sedan. Their tuning package called E-CK63 RS is focusing on both car’s dynamic and luxurious.

Featuring an entirely re-engineered V8-engine, the E-CK63 RS delivers 585 hp and 695 NM and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

At the exterior the German tuner added: front skirt, extended wings, side mouldings and rear skirt reveals the power of the Carlsson E-class at first sight, all made of polyurethane. On the interior Carlsson added aluminum applications on the door lock studs, the pedals and the foot rest, while the seats, the steering wheel, the automatic gearstick and the insides of the door are lined with the most delicate materials.

The German tuning firm Carlsson has just launched a new package for the Mercedes Benz GL SUV called the RS-Kit. The customization program features a lowered hanging front lip spoiler, a larger bolder grill featuring a lot more chrome than came from the factory, a pair of power bulges placed on top of the hood, enough driving lights to illuminate a soccer game, more mesh grills in the side skirts and of course a set of signature Carlsson rolling stock wrapped in high performance rubber.

Carlsson Mercedes GL RS

Never ones to leave well enough alone, the tuners at Carlsson have upgraded the GL500’s output thanks to an optimized engine electronics unit and a high flowing sport air filter. The engine now produces a total of 435 HP and 442 lb-ft of torque. The diesel powered GL 420 CDI has also been tuned to produce a maximum output of 354 HP and the GL 320 CDI has been raised to 269 HP.

If you are looking to add a significant amount of additional muscle, both aesthetically and performance wise, perhaps a Mercedes Benz GL dressed up with Carlsson’s RS-Kit is just what you are looking for to set you apart from ordinary GL drivers.

With the new C-Tronic Diesel POWER generation, Carlsson offers 20 % more power and torque for all Mercedes common-rail diesels from the A to the S Class. Increasing the output via the C-Tronic Diesel POWER supplementary control unit results in a significant improvement in performance. Consisting of the control unit and a plug-and-drive adapter, which is connected to the standard engine control unit, the C-TronicĀ® reads all signals from the series control unit needed to determine the optimum values for fuel quantity and the injection point.

For all off-road enthusiasts the famous Mercedes-Benz tuner Carlsson is offering a complete tuning package, which clearly, if tastefully, underlines the modern features of the M-Class. Big, voluminous yet still sporty, with its performance tweaked to 269 bhp and a potent torque, and combining this with a touch of luxury, the CD 32 based on the ML 320 CDI always cuts a fine figure both in the countryside and in the metropolitan jungle.

Before its official launch, Carlsson has already devoted considerable attention to the new Mercedes Benz C-class Estate resulting in a new automotive dimension in both visual and dynamic terms. The company achieved these goals through a variety of measures including elegant aerodynamic parts, performance kits, new wheels and improved interior appointments. The result is a vehicle that meets the highest expectations of driving pleasure and active safety. A car with race-track engineering that meets the promise of looks and paper form.
