Carlsson, the well known tuner specialized in Mercedes-Benz cars, unveiled today its new set of -spoke monobloc wheel 1/11 Ultra Light, available exclusively in 21 inch. The new wheels not only look good but also improve the road-handling properties of your vehicle, due to the fact that there are one of the world’s lightest wheels available on the Mercedes tuning sector.
For those who want to make their Mercedes S-Class more exclusive there’s always Carlsson. The well-known tuner specialised in tuning Mercedes vehicles unveiled today the ultimate limousine: the Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Blanchimont. Built in collaboration with the leather and lifestyle brand Etienne Aigner AG the car comes with a sporty exterior and an exclusive two-colour paintwork which reminds us of the Maybach. The vehicle comes with a re-designed fron bumper, new side sills, a new rear bumper with carbon fiber ar diffuser and integrated exhaust system and a carbon fiber trunk spoiler.
Under the hood the engine develops an astonishing 705 hp while the torque is electronically limited to 1.100 Nm. With these numbers, the car can hit 100 km/h in 3,9 seconds, just like the latest Mercedes Sl65 AMG Black Series while the top speed is electronically limited to 320 km/h for safety reasons. At the interior everything is custom built and according to the manufacturer the individuality know no limits. Of course the price doesn’t know its limits: the pricing starts at 464.100,00 Euro in Germany and 390.000,00 Euro for export.
Perhaps when it comes to more power and performance, the GL 500 SUV of Mercedes wouldn’t necessarily be the first choice. Carlsson instead comes out with an impressive new body kit for the big SUV. With 33 mm lower and a full bodykit the giant GL500 has now a sporty sculpted look. A C-Tronic suspension system guarantees the downforce on the car at speeds above 120km/h, ensuring adequate suspension travel and therefore preserving predictable handling characteristics.
With new performance achieved the big SUV can now reach 100km/h in only 6.1 seconds, while the top speed is limited at 248km/h. Such kind of performance, 388 hp V8 requires a special ‘engine kit’ that tunes the power up by over 12%. A special quad-tip exhaust adds an appropriate soundtrack to the new found power. At the interior, the CK50 is finished with a combination of nappa leather, carbon fiber and wood trim at choice and each car can be customized as the buyer desires.
Recently launched, the facelifted Mercedes SL is already receiving some attention from the well-known Mercedes tuners. After Brabus unveiled its R230 tuning kit last week, Carlsson unveiled today its CK50 pack for the SL. The CK50 kit contains new carbon fiber front-lip spoiler, rear air diffuser, new side skirts as well as new alloy wheels. The most important upgrade was received by the engine which now develops 436 hp and 600 Nm of torque, a good improvement comparing it to the stock 388 hp. The vehicle is now capable to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds and has a top speed limited to 300 km/h.
Carlsson will present at the Geneva Motor Show two world premieres and two Swiss premieres. Th world premieres are: Carlsson CD32 based on the C 320 CDI C Class Estate (S204) and Carlsson 1/14 RS wheel; while the Swiss premieres are the Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Eau Rouge and the Carlsson ML CD32 based on the M Class.
The CD32 is equipped with the Carlsson C-Tronic system of the latest generation, the CD32, which has been developed for all Mercedes-Benz models with the current 320 CDI engine, is boosted by 45 to 269 bhp, a significance increase over the 224 bhp of the standard model. Torque is up to a solid 612 Nm. Also impressive is the acceleration from 0-100 km/h, which is cut by around a second compared to the standard model.
The Carlsson Aigner CK65 "Eau Rouge" is based on the Mercedes-Benz CL and produces over 700 bhp and 1,100 Nm. Also impressive: a top speed of 320 km/h, which is electronically regulated (!) for safety reasons and an acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds for the standing start from 0-100 km/h.
The Carlsson ML CD32 is based on the ML 320 CDI. Thanks to the easy to install and reinstall Carlsson C-Tronic Diesel POWER control unit, this big but light-footed vehicle can boast an output of 269 bhp (198kW) and torque of 612 Nm.
Press release after the jump.
With the new C-Tronic Diesel POWER generation, Carlsson offers 20 % more power and torque for all Mercedes common-rail diesels from the A to the S Class. Increasing the output via the C-Tronic Diesel POWER supplementary control unit results in a significant improvement in performance. Consisting of the control unit and a plug-and-drive adapter, which is connected to the standard engine control unit, the C-Tronic® reads all signals from the series control unit needed to determine the optimum values for fuel quantity and the injection point.
For all off-road enthusiasts the famous Mercedes-Benz tuner Carlsson is offering a complete tuning package, which clearly, if tastefully, underlines the modern features of the M-Class. Big, voluminous yet still sporty, with its performance tweaked to 269 bhp and a potent torque, and combining this with a touch of luxury, the CD 32 based on the ML 320 CDI always cuts a fine figure both in the countryside and in the metropolitan jungle.
