The Chevrolet Colorado is a mid-size pickup truck that is neither glitz or glamour in Chevrolet’s lineup. This truck was introduced in 2004 and has done well only because Chevy was smart enough to add as many options as they could along with a competitive price tag.
Customers can choose from two bed lengths, three cab styles with seating for up to six people, and a number of suspension options. Towing as much as 6,000lbs, the Colorado is powered by a 2.9L I-4 producing 185hp and 190 lb-ft of torque, a 3.7L I-5 delivering 242hp and 242 lb-ft of torque, or the newest engine, a 5.3L V8 producing 300hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.
The new Chevrolet Silverado is based on the GMT900 platform. The model it was sheduled to arrve as a 2008 model, but is likely to debut this fall, in earlu Ocromber.
It has an unique look including stacked headlamps, which separate the trucks from the SUVs. It does not have all the signature styling from the 2003 Cheyenne Concept - such as the wraparound glass at the back of the cab. The Silverado is equipped with a roof-rack and back-up (...)
The Chevrolet Colorado was among the first of a new generation of larger compact pickups when it was introduced as a 2004 model and all but Ford followed quickly on its heals. In fact, we don’t even call them compact pickups anymore. Now they’re called midsize pickups.
