GM today announced pricing for the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon Hybrids, the only full-size, fully capable SUVs whose two-wheel-drive (2WD) models offer the same EPA city fuel economy as a conventional four-cylinder midsize car.
The Chevrolet Tahoe is one of General Motors’ full-size SUVs which takes most of its components from the GMC Yukon. Originally marketed as the Chevrolet K-Blazer, the Tahoe become its own entity in 1995 after the GMC K-5 Jimmy took on the Yukon name in 1992. The current Chevrolet Tahoe is powered by a choice of four different engines. The first is a 4.8L V8 engine producing 295hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. The second engine is a 5.3L V8 delivering 320hp and 340 lb-ft or torque and the third is a 6.2L V8 producing 395 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque. The last engine option is the newest and part of the rising awareness to be environmentally conscious: a 6.0L V8/electric hybrid engine producing 332hp and 367 lb-ft of torque.
Chevrolet Tahoe is the industry’s best-selling full-size SUV. It was comprehensively redesigned for 2007, giving customers the capability expected of a full-size SUV with a sharper, more precise driving feel, more power with improved, segment-leading fuel economy, increased interior refinement and improved quietness.
The dramatically redesigned 2007 Chevrolet Police Tahoe delivers more power, enhanced ride and handling qualities, and more safety features than its 2006 counterpart. It also delivers a great deal of utility, cargo room, visibility and go-anywhere capability. But those attributes are only part of the 2007 Police Tahoe story. What distinguishes this vehicle is the fact that it is the first SUV designed from its inception as a law enforcement vehicle. That designation delivers a great many benefits to law enforcement agencies.
The 2007 Chevy Tahoe Street Tuner demonstrates what can be done with carefully selected Chevrolet Accessories that transform a vehicle into a contemporary, custom-look street machine. It features 22-inch wheels that accentuate the custom paint work and ground effects, which include new front and rear fascias and rocker panels.
Chevrolet and the U.S. Ski Team are strong partners, and the uniquely outfitted U.S. Ski Team Tahoe is an extension of this relationship. The all-new 2007 Chevy Tahoe is an ideal winter activity vehicle that provides all-weather capability, comfort and safety. Tahoe’s distinctive, sporty exterior design is a standout with the custom U.S. Ski Team colors and graphics.
