Chevy Tahoe EPA rated at 21 mpg city!
The EPA rating is out for the new dual mode hybrid version of the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon: 21 city, 22 highway. This is under the EPA’s new mileage rating system, which generally reports lower numbers than the system used in previous years. It contrasts with 14/20 for the non-hybrid gasoline version. This is for a vehicle weighing almost 6000 lbs. with a 322 hp V-8 engine and a 6,200 lbs. towing capacity, not snuffle-nose compact with grocery cart wheels. Self-driving Chevrolet Tahoe to compete in the Urban Challenge competition
General Motors Corp., Carnegie Mellon University and other partner companies are developing a self-driving Chevrolet Tahoe to compete in the 2007 Urban Challenge competition, created by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The DARPA Urban Challenge competition will be held Nov. 3 in the western United States. E85-Capable Chevrolet Tahoe To Promote E85 Ethanol Use In The State
General Motors today provided an E85-capable Chevrolet Tahoe to the Common wealth of Virginia as part of an ongoing campaign to promote ethanol and E85-capable vehicles in the state.
