2011 Chevrolet Caprice PPV

Chevrolet has announced details on the new 2011 Caprice police car that will be used in police agencies across the country. The new model is powered by a 6.0 liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 355 HP and 384 lb-ft torque. It is one of the fastest police cars out there with a 0 to 60 mph sprint time of under six seconds.

The vehicle offers a segment exclusive front-seat-only head curtain air bag, which allows for installation of a full-width prisoner partition. Additionally, StabiliTrak, GM’s electronic stability control technology, provides a "police performance" mode for enhanced stability during high-speed driving to help ensure the safety of the PPV occupants.

"We view the police vehicle as an extended office for our officers," Dennis Hogan, Fleet Services manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa said. "We chose the Caprice, because it delivers optimal officer operational space, trunk and storage space, and generally provides our officers the most-suitable operating environment."

Yes, i think that our police officers need good cars like this cause as Hogan said, they view it as an extension of their office. It will give them more ability to lessen crimes in the city, but i just hope for a much eco friendly engine since that it is a government vehicle.

Well I guess every police officers which to have their own mobile car for faster responds and efficient keeping of peace and order in their place. Well sad to say in our country limited cars are only given and the rest manual or ride in their motors.

Caprice PPV 2011 has a 355 horsepower, V-8 engine, Torque@rpm 384, displacement 6000cc. all this are enough to have a great car performance.

The non-government organization keeps on reminding the people on how the gasoline consumption affects the environment. Its kind of sad that the government is not a good role model for us. They are using and spending too much for fuel because of this gas guzzler cars!

hmm. The car has less power output and its kind of gas guzzler. Well, I think the government has a lot of money to supply the fuel of these police cars! What a waste!

It makes the car look aggressive. It will definitely lessen the number of criminals and most of them will be caught since it the fastest police car.

Nice, this is definitely one heck of a police car. Just take a look at the front of this. You will probably be scared when you see this following you on your rear vuiew mirror.
