The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the fastest Corvette->ke1280 that has ever been offered by Chevrolet->ke199, but even a 205 mph sports car can be improved if you know where to make the right modifications. American tuner, Late Model Racecraft of Houston, Texas knows just how to do that and has proven it by creating the fastest Corvette ZR1 known to man.

By adding a new twin-turbo system and a new exhaust system, as well as making some other changes to the LS9 supercharged 6.2 liter V-8 engine, the tuner has managed to increase the ZR1's output to a mouthwatering 1500 HP, all delivered at the wheels! This makes the 638 HP of the standard ZR1 look like chump change.

With the extra power, this special Corvette ZR1 achieved the quarter mile in 9.68 seconds at 147 mph, making it the fastest Corvette in the world. Unfortunately, the record has not been backed up by the Guinness Book, but the numbers do make a hell of a claim all on their own.

Hit the jump to watch the Corvette ZR1 by Late Model Racecraft in action.
