2012 Chevrolet Tru 140S Concept

Chevrolet’s concept contingent at the 2012 North American International Auto Show features a couple of small-car concepts, one of which is the Tru 140S Concept. Confusing name notwithstanding, the Tru 140S is being pegged as a four-seat coupe that plays the role of a three-door hatchback. Yeah, let the confusion reign.

Just like the Code 130R, the Tru 140S is a car that’s targeting the younger market base, enticing them with an affordable sporty car that’s aesthetically appealing to those that can’t afford high-priced exotics.

Using the same platform as that of the Chevrolet Cruze , the Tru 140S Concept comes with a matte white paint finish that’s got a unique profile reminiscent of the Peugeot RCZ . Other aesthetic features of the Tru 140S Concept include a sharp front profile with an interesting headlight configuration, and a new set of 21" Chevrolet Performance chrome wheels that we hope make it to the production version, should there be one.

Under its hood, the Tru 140S Concept is powered by a 1.4-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine that produces 150 horsepower and 148 lb/ft of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle also comes with eAssist hybrid drive, start-stop technology, and acceleration assist.

As a car that Chevrolet describes as "confident, exotic, expensive, and fast," the Tru 140S Concept is affordably priced somewhere around $20,000, making it a really attractive option for a market that wants to have their sports car cake and eat it too.

Again Gm ripped off another car this looks just like the current body of the Eclipse. I like the sharp lines with nice slopes, but again what’s with the current GM front face to me it’s very plain and distracting from the focus of the car; it does not flow well with it looking like it was just slapped onto the front bumper.

I like its classy appeal. The silver paint made it look very enticing. I want to see more of its interior. I wonder why they bargain this car?

It’s very sharp on looks, literally and figuratively. This car produces a turbo charged engine in order to make it to the top. I’m sure anyone could have this one because it has affordable price offered.

The color selection of this car is great. I can’t hardly imagine that anyone could buy this one because of its affordable price.

This Chev has is yet the most affordable prices. This car is only sold for $20000. Maybe everyone is preparing their money to buy it right away.

For real? This concept will cost only a $20,000? Wow. Is this a gone away? That is way too affordable. I love the aesthetic and simple design of it. I just hope that they will produce it.

One thing that amazed me most are the wheels, very striking and very elegant as well. The paint selection of this car is great. I can’t imagine that anybody could buy this one due to its very affordable price. Its very enticing. It has a very charming platform.

I love the paint selection of this car and the whole figure itself. This is so exotic, confident and fast. What an awesome one! Very affordable, anyone could buy and have this car.

Compared to Chevrolet Code 130R, this one is much impressive with the design and luxurious looks. The wheels are stunning, the headlights speaks for its own and the front design is captivating. I think this is too affordable for that price: $20,000.

If I were to pick between this and Code 130R by Chevrolet, I will pick this concept. They have the same price and manufacturer, but this is way cooler. The exterior design looks luxurious specially on its wheels.

If you at the image of the car. You will confuse if which is the front and which is the back. But,thumps up for the whole figure of this car.

Very charming platform. I love the paint selection, it blends well on its platform. Its very enticing on its affordable market price.
