Black has always been one of our favorite colors on SUVs. It's sleek, it's intimidating and it's all around bad-ass.

That's probably why we immediately stood up and took notice of the SEMA->ke216-bound Chevrolet Tahoe Black Concept when the automaker released details of the concept SUV.

It's definitely a stylized version of the fourth-generation Tahoe and something that we should hope to see in dealerships sometime in the coming year.

There aren't a lot of noticeable upgrades done on the Tahoe Black Concept, but the overall package is definitely production worthy, especially when you see the all-black profile come with a blacked-out exterior trim to go with an aerodynamic body kit package, tinted headlamp lenses, tinted windows and a set of 22-inch, custom-painted wheels from Chevrolet->ke199 Accessories.

Even the interior joined in on the black treatment, thanks to the fine leather Chevy dressed it up with to match the Carbon Flash Metallic trim accents.

It's not the flashiest program you'll ever see at the 2013 SEMA Auto Show, but for our money, it's one of those concepts that will likely have a future outside of only being displayed in auto events. We don't know when it's going to be, but we have a feeling that the Chevrolet Tahoe Black Concept will be a production model soon.

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

The fourth-generation Chevrolet Tahoe comes with an all-new look to match the range of advanced technologies it has under its name.

Among the more pertinent exterior modifications of the fourth-generation Tahoe include a new standard chrome, dual-port grille and projector-beam headlights. A host of options are also offered, particularly those high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and light-emitting diode (LED) daytime running lamps, all of which add more functionality and improved refinement for the SUV.

Under its hood, the 2015 Tahoe comes powered by a 5.3-liter, V-8 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The power is much improved from its predecessors and it also boasts of improved fuel economy, thanks to the addition of a new adaptive exhaust systems and Active Fuel Management system.
