2011 Chrysler 300

With a relatively short history (it was launched in 2004 as a 2005 model), the Chrysler 300 has never been the most successful model on the market. It would make sense for Chrysler to give it a solid kick in the pants as it heads out the door, but instead, they have decided to give the sedan one last chance. It’s time for the 300 to fish or cut bait, and Chrysler is hoping for the former with some exterior and interior updates, as well as some engine mods. The Chrysler 300 will make its official debut in 2011 at the Detroit Auto Show with sales to begin later in the year.

As usual, the 2011 Chrysler 300 will be offered in four models: Touring, Limited, 300C, and 300C AWD. An SRT8 version will be revealed in late 2011 as a 2012 model.

Update 01/07/2010: Just before its official launch at the Detroit Auto Show, Chrysler has announced pricing for the new 300. The standard model is priced from $27,995, while the Limited Edition’s prices go up to $31,995. The 300C version goes on sale at a price of $38,995 and the 300C AWD at $41,145. They’ve also released more images for the updated sedan which we’ve added to the gallery. Enjoy!

Exterior and Interior

Chrysler 300

The 2011 Chrysler 300 looks bolder and more aggressive than ever. Compared to the previous model, the 2011 300 gets refined lines that make it look more elegant. There is a new front grille, redesigned headlamps with LED lights, new taillights, and numerous chrome inserts.

The teaser images do not reveal much about the interior, but spy shots revealed some changes will definitely be made. Don’t expect to see any miracles, but there will be new flat instrument cluster, a straight, square dashboard, and higher quality materials
making it a better competitor for the best sedans in its price range.

The Engine

Chrysler 300

The base version will be offered with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that will produce 292 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque. It is rumored that this engine will deliver improved fuel consumption and lowered CO2 emission. The top version will get a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with 363 HP, but with gas mileage reportedly increased.

The 300 will be offered standard as a rear-wheel drive model, but all-wheel drive will be offered as an option. All engines will be offered with a five-speed automatic transmission.

The Competition

Chrysler 300

The Chrysler 300 wants to take on models like the Dodge Charger , the Volvo S80, and even the Audi A6 or Infiniti M . But while all the prices are almost the same, driving a 300 is simply not the same thing as driving an A6. Almost every model in the competitor list offers a more luxurious interior and a better driving experience.

The two things the Chrysler has on its competitors are its warranty and its cheaper price tag. However, in regards to numbers, every competitor for the 300 does a much better job with power and handling.

2011 Chrysler 300,.. looks bolder and more aggressive than ever. Compared to the previous model, the 2011 300.,,It adds more elegant to the users..,,

Such images do not reveal much about the interior, but spy shots revealed some changes will definitely be made...With a high density.,,High quality..Great image outcome..!!

It is rumored that this engine will deliver improved fuel consumption and lowered CO2 emission,..my idea of this car..it is really in demand for a wealthy individuals especially for those who love simple, but elegant in style.

I think this car looks very simple or a little bit bore..Its good to see when you revised it some sort of styles. this is only fitted for president itself.

‚ÄĚChrysler is not really a popular..maybe because it is not really giving more attention to revised the new engine to make it modern.. well,it should be nice when it convert it to other style..

wow it looks a lot better than the previous c300. it looks more muscle inside and more smoother outside. i guess obama has a new car to buy.

it looks great as a luxury vehicle, but there are still no word when it will be revealed and show on public.

thin horizontal chrome bars are sleeker than the eggcrate worn by the current car, and they give the new 300 less of a boxy, road-barge look.

Expect visibility to be improved though slimmer A- ars, more glass, and a much smaller C- ar created through the use of a small A-frame window at the rear.

Lovely photos. not sure if they are truly suited for this... because I see the 300 as a business car and the images suggest more like a SUV smiley

Having a insane stand point, I assume 10g of CO2 less, it’s a improvement. What I want to hear are competitive values to assure environmental concern, not improvements of their huge engines.

Common! it’s not that bad! indeed the front lights could of been bigger!

When I first saw the image I thought it’s a bad photoshop shape.

I love the current 300 and this one lacks all the elements that I loved at 300. I think it’s so bad that I prefer to think of it like a bad photoshop smiley

Headlight clusters are squared and smoothed, while the front bumper is much more integrated, tightening up the chin.
