Earlier this year, Chrysler->ke21 and Detroit-born fashion designer John Varvatos collaborated to build a unique, one-off 300S that was eventually auctioned off at the John Varvatos 9th Annual Stuart House Benefit with the proceeds going to benefit The Rape Foundation in support of Stuart House.

We're saying this because as it turns out, Chrysler and Varvatos' collaborative endeavors weren't just limited to a one-off model. That's because the two have also built a pair of bespoke luxury sedans together based on the 300C. The two models, called the John Varvatos Limited Edition and the John Varvatos Luxury Edition, show what happens when you get two of Detroit's finest to build a car together.

Given the credibility and respect John Varvatos commands in the fashion industry, these pair of special edition 300C models bearing his name prove that when it comes to perfectly blending his hometown's blue-collar appeal with the luxury of a car like the 300C, the man has the pulse of the action.

UPDATE 3/25/2013: We are eagerly anticipating the release of the John Varvatos Edition of the 2013 300C and Chrysler has just released an ad teasing its release. The press release also unveiled a rough release date. Find out the release time frame after the jump and you can see the video above.

Exterior

The pair of 300C John Varvatos Edition were dressed in a Phantom Black tri-coat paint finish and, in the case of the Limited Edition, matched with black chrome on the front grille and dark titanium accents that replaced the bright chrome trim of the luxury sedan. For the Luxury Edition, the chrome mesh grille was dressed in platinum. Talk about a car that exudes a dark mystic to itself, this one definitely has it...and then some. Moreover, these models also come with smoked LED taillight lenses, darkened Chrysler wing badges, and a new set of 20" multi-spoke alloy wheels for the Limited Edition and polished versions for the Luxury Edition.

Interior

Inside, the 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition was designed in the likeness of the fashion icon's raw industrial look, highlighted by Pewter Metallic leather seats with Diesel Gray and black stitching. Touches of Varvatos' classic styling also manifest itself in the the instrument panel clock and gauge cluster.

As for the Luxury Edition, Chrysler and Varvatos are offering two unique color options to go with all the luxury trim that comes with the Limited Edition. In addition to the Pewter Metallic leather seats, the Luxury Edition also offers Nappa leather seats and hand-sanded, matte-finished Natural Pore Mocha real wood accents.

Finally, both models get Chrysler's new 8.4" UConnect system that also features a "John Varvatos" screen display.

Performance

The Varvatos 300C models will be offered in both the V6 and the HEMI V8 engines, producing 292 horsepower and 363 horsepower, respectively.

Pricing

There is still no word on pricing but Chrysler has revealed that this special-edition 300C will hit showrooms in the spring of 2013. That's kind of late for a 2013 model year, but so be it. There will only be 2,000 of these vehicles available, so you had better get your name on the list, quickly.
