Citroen sure knows how to take advantage of the latest in video technology. In a bid to promote their latest hatchback the DS3, the French manufacturer has resorted to a video-game style feature that allows you to take control of a DS3 from a piece of printed out interactive pages that you have in your hands.

All you need to do is go to Citroen’s website, print out the pages, and hold them in front of your webcam. What follows is a unique interactive program that allows you to muss over the DS3 and place it in different situations, including one where you can take it out for a nice drive with the piece of paper you’re holding as your very own steering wheel.

It’s a fun way to get acquainted with Citroen’s latest hatchback. The quick tutorial at the company’s website is easy enough to get you up to speed with what you need to do to give this a shot.

<![CDATA[Video: Citroen DS Inside interior revealed]]> http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/video-citroen-ds-inside-interior-revealed-ar74943.html

Aparently when the French automaker brought their DS Inside Concept to the Geneva Motor Show, they conveniently parked it out of the way in an area that would give photographers looking to get a decent shot of the automobile’s interior a hard time. The concept is a preview of the upcoming Citroen DS3, a vehicle that will make its way into dealerships as early as next year.

The French car manufacturer has recently released a number of images and a video showing off the concepts piano black interior trim, ivory leather covered seatbacks and quilted material on the dash. But it is the modern DS emblem in the headrest that really caught our attention. Watch the video to see for yourself.

<![CDATA[Citroen DS]]> http://www.topspeed.com/cars/citroen/2009-citroen-ds-ar70152.html

Although Citroen revealed the official details about the reviving the DS line back in February, it used the Geneva Motor Show to give the car its first public showing. The DS3 will be joined by two other larger model’s in Citroen’s future lineup. The technical detail is not available yet for any of the DS line.

4.

What was shown in Geneva was just a concept preview. The production version will be revealed in 2010, and Citroen has set cars like the Audi A3 and Alfa Romeo 149 as its main competition. Eventually the DS3 will be joined by large siblings currently known as the DS4 and DS5.

The original DS was referred to as "Goddess" because of its strange and beautiful styling (also the French pronunciation of D-S, “deesse”, translates to goddess). Now Citroen says it wants DS to stand for “Different Spirit”. From what we’ve seen so far, the new DS is dead-on stylish, but as for different from the competition, the Mini may have something to say about that.

Press release after the jump.
