  A coupe is a car body style with a close-coupled interior offering either two seats or 2+2 seating (space for two passengers up front and for two occasional passengers in the rear). Through the 1950s convertible models were sometimes called convertible coupes, but since the 1960s the term "coupe" has generally been applied exclusively to fixed-roof models. Coupes generally, but not necessarily, have two doors, although automobile makers have offered four-door coupes and three- and five-door hatchback coupes, as well.

Launched for the 2013 model year, the Cadillac ATS sedan was developed as a luxury competitor to the BMW 3 Series , the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4 . Nearly two years later, the GM-owned brand expanded the ATS family to include a two-door coupe aimed mainly at the BMW 4 Series . Just like its sedan sibling, the ATS Coupe gained a turbo, 2.0-liter four-banger and a 3.6-liter V-6 rated at 272 horsepower and 321 ponies, respectively. Additionally, and much like the CTS range, the ATS family is set to receive the high-performance "V" treatment.

As we approach 2015, it’s becoming clearer that the ATS-V Coupe is the first model to have its engine injected with more oomph. The move will push the stylish two-door vehicle closer to BMW’s range-topping 4 Series model, the M4 , and into a market that also includes the awesome Audi RS5 . Will Cadillac stand a chance against the big guns of the industry? Let’s start our analysis by having a look at the spy shots we just received in our inbox.

Surely you’re familiar with the mighty Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and its raucous 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI V-8 bellowing out 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque through a proper, six-speed manual transmission to its massive rear tires. Yep, it doesn’t get much better than that. Well, the fine folks at Web2Carz have posted a rather entertaining video of a few hot laps around the Portland International Raceway in the new SRT Hellcat.

Grab the popcorn, turn the volume up, hit full-screen, and go HD for full experience. There’s plenty of V-8 noise and supercharger whine happening on the straights, while subtle tire squeal emanates from the Hellcat’s rubber through the turns. A smooth and quiet cruiser this is not; the visceral experience practically travels through the camera. Each upshift produces gobs of grunt and forward momentum while quick downshifts create some menacing growls and barks from the HEMI V-8.

The Challenger Hellcat is certainly a powerful street machine that appears to be just a confident tearing up the twisty track as it does tearing up a set of Pirelli P Zero Nero tires during gratuitous burnouts. The SRT Hellcat may not be the fastest around corners, it certainly makes up for that in sheer driving exhilaration.

2014 has been a busy year for Bentley so far. The Brits have begun testing their upcoming SUV and launched the Continental GT3-R , a high-performance coupe paying tribute to the GT3 race car . The next few months will also see the introduction of the Mulsanne Speed , but apparently, Bentley won’t stop there. As we speak, the luxury manufacturer is developing a strategy to further expand its offerings.

According to Car & Driver, Bentley is focusing on two different fronts. The first one revolves around developing limited-edition models under the Mulliner badge. These vehicles would be aimed at wealthy customers and collectors to help Bentley enter a very profitable niche currently dominated by the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini . This idea has been floating around the company’s headquarters in Crewe for a while now, but it seems the Brits are finally ready to make the big step.

The second expansion lies on the other side of the lineup and involves the introduction of a brand-new vehicle to sit below the Continental. Bentley doesn’t build new vehicles too often, so this is obviously the bigger news of the pack. Stick around to find out more.

Having introduced the F-Type Project 7 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June 2014, Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division is already off to a great start. Now, only one month since its first creation debuted as the most powerful Jaguar ever built, SVO is back in the spotlight with yet another bespoke interpretation of the F-Type , the Tour de France Special Edition.

Although the name suggests this sports car is a limited-edition model inspired by the multiple-stage bicycle race held annually in France and nearby countries, the F-Type Tour de France is not intended to reach dealerships. The vehicle, because only one was built, will serve as a high-performance support vehicle for British cycling crew Team Sky during Stage 20 of the 2014 Tour de France. Before you start asking yourselves what’s the deal with Jaguar joining a cycling competition, we should mention the company is the official supplier to Team Sky since 2010.

So are we dealing with a repainted F-Type for marketing purposes? Not quite. This Jag is as bespoke as it gets and can carry two bicycles where its rear window should normally be. Check out all the details after the jump.

How many times can one really wax poetic about the Koenigsegg One:1 ? The short answer, of course, is not enough. That’s not to say that we’re never going to grow tired of it because everything, no matter how awesome, has a shelf life. But who are we kidding, really? We can’t have enough of the One:1 and thankfully, there are people like Shmee whose sole purpose in this world is to make us jealous.

The famous YouTube car guy has uploaded this spectacular video of the One:1. It’s called the “Exclusive First Look” at the mighty Koenigsegg and who are we to really argue with him.

Shmee’s video caught the One:1 in ways no other video has ever done. He even gets to ride shotgun, as the One:1 is put through the paces in the real happiest place on Earth: the Koenigsegg headquarters in Sweden.

Sorry, Disneyland.

Shmee’s level of access is unparalleled, and he proved it once again, thanks to this up-close look at one of the most powerful cars in the world today.

Who doesn’t love supercars ? They come from all over the world. Ferrari and Lamborghini come from Italy, Germany has Mercedes-Benz and Porsche , and Aston Martin and Lotus hail from England. We here in America have the Viper and Corvette Z06 . In 2014, we now receive a new supercar from the Philippines, sort of. The company is known as Factor Aurelio Automobile and its latest prototype — still unnamed — shows just what two creative minds can come up with.

The Philippines is known for its lush, tropical beauty, gorgeous beaches, and amazing culture. However, when you think of supercar origins the Philippines probably isn’t the first country that pops into your mind.

This relatively sleek and sexy supercar is still very much in development, and there is news of grumblings between its two founders, Kevin Factor and Brendan Aurelio, so this may be a short-lived dream. Regardless, it is cool enough to pass onto our faithful readers.

The Ferrari F40 holds a very special place in the company’s rich history. Not only the forerunner of the F50 , Enzo , and the astounding LaFerrari , the F40 was also the last Prancing Horse personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. When launched in 1987, it retailed for at least $400,000, making it the most expensive Ferrari sold to the public.

Manufactured in 1,315 units until 1992, the Ferrari F40 is a prized collectible nowadays, fetching enormous amounts when changing owners during auction events. And that doesn’t happen very often, as very few enthusiasts are willing to part with their supercar. Race-ready F40s are even rarer than that, with very few being built to IMSA and GT specifications. Jean Alesi, Hurley Haywood and Jean-Pierre Jabouille are among the lucky chaps that got to race the F40, but only one man remained closer to the supercar in the 2000s, long after its official retirement.

His name is John Pogson and he’s a trained Ferrari mechanic and the main man behind Italia Autosport. As one of the most successful independent Ferrari specialist in Europe, he takes care of some of the greatest Ferrari-badged vehicles and races them too. Is this the perfect job or what?

Pogson, who won several events at the wheel of the F40 between 1996 and 2001, and his story was recently covered by the folks over at XCar in an awesome, 10-minute video. The footage includes a trip to his Ferrari-packed garage, as well as John’s story with Italia Autosport. A story that’s worth watching, as he is one of the very last people to race the almighty F40.

It’s been a good 2014 for Audi . The company is on pace to sell 1.6 million cars this year, a record-breaking number that has come closer and closer to threatening BMW ’s top sales numbers. But Audi isn’t just settling for the sales title. It also wants to continue to be on the cutting edge of innovation, something Audi boss Rupert Stadler brushed on when he announced plans to launch RS-badged high-performance diesel models in the future, possibly as soon as the end of the decade.

The company is optimistic that it already has the applications to transition the technology from concept form into production. Remember, the RS5 TDI concept showed that it was possible to slap an e-turbo-diesel engine into an Audi without compromising the car’s performance capabilities.

Stadler understands that the key in achieving that goal is to take a step-by-step process on piecing together the tools and technology needed to make it work on a production model.

You can count on Audi to always be at the forefront of innovation. The German automaker thrives on being in that position, and when you give it incentive to succeed, you can bet that it’s going to pull out all the stops to make it happen.

When it comes to racing their sports cars or high-performance sedans on the track, most drivers settle for the iconic Nurburgring and its Nordschleife configuration. The German course takes center stage these days with so many open days and manufacturer test sessions, but Europe has plenty of historic race tracks that are ready to receive speed-hungry enthusiasts and their awesome cars. One of those tracks is Spa-Francorchamps, and the video above proves once again why the Belgian course and its Eau Rouge chicane is such a huge attraction.

Making things even more interesting is that the vehicle carrying a camera as it laps the 4.3-mile track is the brand-new, 2015 BMW M3 . We already know the high-performance sedan has the skills it needs to take on any track around the world, but it’s that much more exciting to see it being put to good use on Spa-Francorchamps. What’s more, behind the wheel of the sedan is none other than Ron Simons, a former race driver and founder of the RSR Nurburg racing school.

It doesn’t get better than this when it comes to hooning a road-legal Bimmer, so just sit back and enjoy a couple of laps around the Formula One track. And make sure you catch that speeding Ferrari 458 at the 7:18 mark.

The 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance saw the debut of the Zagato TZ3 Stradale , an extremely rare sports car designed by Italian design house Zagato to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo. It was so rare that Zagato only built nine of these models, one of which, has found its way into the hands of Ferrari of Newport Beach. Naturally, the dealership is selling the model for $699,900. It’s a rather fair price for such an exclusive sports car that’s only three years old.

This particular TZ3 Stradale comes with a rather lusty Metallic Brown exterior finish to match the Chestnut leather interior. It also looks brand new, judging by how polished it is in these photos. Any dealership worth its salt would see to it that the cars they sell, especially something as rare as the TZ3 Stradale, should look the part of fresh new models. Props to Ferrari of Newport Beach on that end.

The only hesitation I have with this model is the price tag. Sure, there are only nine examples all over the world — this one is No. 7 of 9 — and it really is as good as brand new with only 317 miles on the ticker.

But it’s still one Benjamin short of $700,000. If I had that money, I’d waste no time buying it. Unfortunately, I have neither the funds nor the resources to make that purchase, so hopefully, someone with an impeccable taste in exotics can take that home with them.
