Curious how the future Legacy will look like? Take a look at the new Legacy concept revealed by Subaru today at the Detroit Auto Show and you shall make a pretty good idea.
The Legacy Concept features an aggressive front fascia and solid yet expressive body.Sharp design lines carve out a substantial mass as they flow from the hood, across the roof to the trunk, while the sharp body lines project a sense of strength. Wedge-shaped Side Rear Vision Cameras are featured and provide a sense of flow from the momentum of the A-pillar lines. Fisker is not only going to unveil the Karma sedan at the North American International Auto Show, but it also will show off a convertible version in Detroit. There was an official teaser image of the Karma S Sunset Concept released by Fisker, and the team from KORS Design decided to fill in the gaps.
The Fisker Karma S will be powered by the Karma’s Q-Drive gas/electric powertrain. The Q-Drive should use a similar setup to the Chevrolet Volt. The car can be plugged to give a range of 50 miles on a full charge, and then a gas engine can recharge the batteries to extend the range. The Karma line will run off of a Lithium-Ion battery pack and should provide about 408hp from two electric motors.
Audi is already going to draw plenty of attention at the Detroit Auto Show with the V10 version of the R8 sports car, but that’s not the only trick up Audi’s sleeve. The company has announced there is going to be a surprise on the stand when the show opens on Sunday.
We don’t even need inside sources to make a pretty guess that this “surprise” will be the A7 sedan/coupe. The Mercedes CLS competitor has been long-rumored for Detroit.
We’d love it if we were wrong, and Audi have really surprise us with something completely new. But as sales are slipping and projects are being killed off, there are very few secrets still out there in the automotive world. Plus, it won’t be bad to finally lay eyes on the A7 either.
When the surprise hits, we’ll pass it along.
Scion will unveil at the Detroit Auto Show the special edition xB Release Series 6.0. It will go on sale starting February at a price of $15,750 for the manual transmission and $16,700 for the automatic transmission model. It will be limited to 2500 units.

The new E-Class sedan will make its world debut in just a few days at the Detroit Auto Show, but the official brochure has already hit the internet. Although we got to see some leaked official pictures of the exterior last month, the catalog goes further by revealing the car’s interior and engine line-up.
Internationally, there will be six engines (gas and diesel) across the E-Class. The gasoline line-up includes: a 1.8-liter direct injection 4-cylinder with 184 and 204 hp; a 3.5-liter V6 (for the 4MATIC model) delivering 272 hp; a 3.5-liter direct injection V6 producing 292 hp and at the top of the range the E500 powered by a 388 hp 5.5-liter V8. The diesel line-up includes: a 2.1-liter 4-cylinder engine with 136 hp, 170 hp and 204 hp and a 3.0-liter V6 with 231 hp (BlueEFFICIENCY) and 211 hp (BLUETEC). This does not include the AMG model, which we expect will be powered by a 6.3-liter V8 making 525 hp.
Bentley has updated the Continental GTC to go with the subtle changes given to the fixed-roof Continental GT, and as an added bonus, Bentley has made the more powerful engine available to make a "Speed" version of the convertible. Just like the rest of the Continental family, the GTC is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine that delivers 552 hp, while the Speed version gets a twin-turbocharged W12 that develops 600bhp.
With the wind in your hair, the GTC Speed can reach 195 mph, but keep the roof up and the performance gets better. With the cloth top in place, the GTC Speed goes from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, 0-100 mph in 10.6 seconds, and the top speed increases by 5 mph.
The six-speed transmission can be left in two fully automatic modes (Drive and Sport) or used as a clutchless manual where the driver can change gears sequentially, via either the automatic shifter or paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.
The changes to the appearance are only minor, including a new front bumper and steering wheel. Pricing should start at about $197,500, which is only about $3,500 more than the previous model year.
Press release after the jump.

While Ford may be excited about the 2010 Mustang it’s the special editions that get us all hot and bothered. Ford knows this because the 2010 car was revealed back in November, and only a few months later the Shelby GT500 is peeking its head out of the barn.
What makes this car special is the engine. It’s a supercharged DOHC 5.4-liter V8 that puts out 540 horsepower and 510 foot-pounds of torque. That’s the same figures from the 2008 GT500 KR (take that, KITT!) The car also comes with other goodies to help enjoy the engine like a cold-air intake, aluminum “power dome” hood with engine heat extractor, six-speed manual transmission, and larger 250 mm disk brakes.
We’ll get the first live glimpse of the car next week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The first Shelby GT500s are scheduled to roll off the assembly line and into showrooms this spring.
Full breakdown in the press release and more pics after the jump.

Looks like the executives over at Honda caught a showing of Weekend at Bernie’s over the holiday break and got an idea. Just because the Acura NSX is dead, doesn’t mean they can’t show it off.
There was already a NSX concept car ready for January’s Detroit Auto Show before the project was indefinitely idled, so Honda doesn’t want to waste it. The concept car won’t mean that there is an Acura supercar bound for the U.S. The NSX will be there just to fill space.
From a business standpoint it’s easy to understand that Honda is just trying to get its money’s worth; but from an enthusiast’s standpoint, showing the concept is like Honda is taking us to the strip club. Honda’s New Year’s gift to North America is the ultimate ‘you can look but never touch’ set-up.
