Jeep isn't the only one of Chrysler->ke21's divisions who has begun to unleash their 2011 models to the world. Dodge->ke28 is also introducing its newest refreshes, facelifts, and not-so-much-changed models. The 2011 Caliber->ke244 falls in the latter category only because they just received a refresh in 2010. Aside from being available in five different trim levels - Express, Mainstreet, Uptown, Heat, and Rush - the Caliber will be receiving new lifestyle packages, equipment upgrades, and new exterior colors. It may sound like a lot, but it really isn't all that different.

The 2011 Caliber will be offered with a choice of two engines: 2.0-liter or 2.4 liter DOHC I-4 World Gas Engine, delivering either 158 or 172 HP. These engines will be mated to the continuously variable transmission II (CVT2).

Depending on the version picked, the Caliber is being offered with a sport-tuned suspension, Auto Stick, 18-in. polished-aluminum wheels, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS), performance steering, and a sport appearance group. The Heat, Uptown, and Rush will also be getting electronic stability control as standard (optional last year). All models will receive a new navigation radio with SIRIUS Travel Link allowing the customer to get weather, local fuel prices, sports scores, and movie listings.

The last little new detail for the 2011 Caliber is that the SUV will get six new colors: Redline 2 Pearl Coat, Mango Tango Pearl Coat, Blackberry Pearl Coat, Dark Charcoal Pearl Coat, Bright White Clear Coat, Tungsten Metallic Pearl Coat.

Press release after the jump.

Customers who like to drive and want a sensible, sporty ride will find that the 2011 Dodge Caliber Express model has everything they want. It offers consumers value, efficiency and safety coupled with many standard, innovative and useful features, proving that practical doesn’t have to be boring. It’s powered by the fuel-efficient 2.0-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC) I-4 World Gas Engine with dual variable-valve timing (VVT) that produces 158 horsepower (118 kW) and 141 lb.-ft. (191 N•m) of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This engine gets an estimated 32 mpg on the highway.

The 2011 Dodge Caliber Mainstreet is a versatile, all-around performer with something for everyone. It is nicely equipped with features a consumer needs, but nothing they don’t. The Dodge Caliber Mainstreet also is powered by the 2.0-liter DOHC I-4 World Gas Engine mated to the continuously variable transmission II (CVT2).

Compact-car buyers looking for upscale style and fuel efficiency need look no further. The 2011 Dodge Caliber Uptown provides a posh package of amenities in a fuel-efficient, useful vehicle that offers safety and security without sacrificing practicality. (224 N•m) of torque mated to the CVT2.

Customers who want more performance with sporty style and attitude, both inside and out, can get their performance nicely packaged in the 2011 Dodge Caliber Heat. With a sport-tuned suspension, Auto Stick, 18-in. polished-aluminum wheels, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS), performance steering, sport appearance group, a choice of either the 2.0-liter DOHC I-4 World Gas Engine or the 2.4-liter DOHC dual VVT World Gas Engine mated to either the CVT2 or the five-speed manual transmission, it’s spirited transportation with maximum versatility.

The 2011 Dodge Caliber Rush is a performance-oriented compact vehicle that doesn’t sacrifice safety or functionality. With many standard features, including a unique five-speed manual transmission mated to the 2.4-liter World Gas Engine, an SRT-designed spoiler, heated front seats, sport suspension and all-season performance tires, the Dodge Caliber Rush infuses customers’ commutes with performance and attitude.

Dodge Caliber’s available two World Gas Engine offerings (2.0- and 2.4-liter) provide class-leading horsepower (158 and 172 horsepower, respectively). Chrysler World Gas Engines feature dual VVT and an intake manifold design with flow control valves on the 2.4-liter engine, both firsts for a Chrysler compact car and typically found only on more expensive vehicles. Combined, these features produce more power, better fuel economy and smoother, quieter operation than engines without them.
