2012 Dodge Avenger SE V6

Last year, the standard Avenger and Avenger R/T came out and today Dodge has added a new entry level model to the Avenger line-up. The new SE V6 version is priced from $21,495.

The Avenger is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that delivers a total of 283 HP and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, along with a best-in-class EPA highway V-6 fuel economy rating of 29 mpg. The engine will be mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.

The new SE V6 version will be distinguished by a new set of 18" aluminum wheels, a rear decklid spoiler, and dual exhaust with bright tips. The list of standard equipment will include LED taillamps, a premium interior with soft-touch surfaces, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability control with traction control and electronic roll mitigation, premium cloth seats, speed control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel with integrated audio and speed controls, and a CD player with four speakers.

I can’t really call it an upgrade. If ever, it’s a downgrade as it seemed to get worse.

If it isn’t for its bumper, it surely wouldn’t stand out.

Dodge made this? Maybe if it were bought, or least, modified by some other company, its appearance will do better.

The appeal of this car is subtle. At first, you won’t find it attractive. As time goes on, it will grow on you.

I feel silly for underestimating this car upon first glimpse. Now, I know that its V6 engine is capable of exerting such a great power.

One of the reasons why the figure is not attractive is because of its facelift. It failed; it’s supposed to enhance it, but the result was otherwise.

The only distinctive feature of it is its bumper. Other than that, I don’t think I’ll ever remember this car as it blends in the commoner cars’ type.

For me, it’s not attractive as the newly released cars. I noticed that they did tweaks on it to make it better.

The feature of this avenger is quite fine, but I do not find this car attractive.

Its engine surprised me the most. It’s not one of the greater engines, but it produces such a force of 283HP.
