Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat VIN0001 in detail

Setting the Challenger Hellcat VIN0001 apart from the regular model is an exclusive Stryker Red exterior. The hue is borrowed from the Dodge Viper palette and it will be hand-painted at the Viper's state-of-the-art paint facility. Added to the Viper lineup just last year, the Stryker Red is a special hue that starts off as an orange base coat, on which a translucent red layer and a clear coat are applied. Every layer is sanded and waxed before the next one is applied, resulting in a paint process that takes around eight hours.

In addition to the this unique finish, the Hellcat's exterior will also be enhanced by special "Hellcat" badging.

Inside, the muscle car will get the factory, premium Black Laguna leather, performance seats and all the brand-new technology that comes with the updated Challenger. The vehicle will also include an electronic build book and video documentary on the Hellcat VIN0001, photos, vehicle footage, an Challenger SRT Hellcat-embossed Laguna Leather iPad sleeve, a signed SRT Hellcat lithograph and a “birth certificate” for the VIN0001 muscle car. All these memorabilia items will be presented to the happy owner in a HEMI-painted presentation box.

The Hellcat's engine will remain unaltered, but that's far from being an issue. The supercharged, 6.2-liter, HEMI V-8 churns a whopping 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque and we have a feeling the winner won't have any complaints about that.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

With 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of twist on tap, the 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT is the most powerful, factory-built muscle car ever created. The newest member of the SRT lineup is also the quickest muscle car ever built. The enormous amount of power enables the coupe to run the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds with standard Pirelli tires and in only 10.8 seconds with drag radials. That makes the Challenger Hellcat quicker than the Ferrari Enzo->ke389 and the Nissan GT-R Track Pack.

Distinguished by numerous details inside and out, including a unique front fascia design, larger wheels and huge Brembo brakes, the 2015 Challenger Hellcat SRT retails from $60,990, including destination and gas-guzzler tax.
