The Dodge Viper - or is it SRT Viper - hasn’t exploded the way Dodge had hoped for. The hype and attention being thrown in the direction of the Charger and Challenger Hellcat models hasn’t helped the Viper win any brownie points either. It’s a shame because the Viper’s a really intense sports car . Fortunately, Dodge has thrown the Viper a bone of sorts by introducing a special Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition that should give the sports car the shine it deserves.
The Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition is limited to just 40 units. It’s probably going to sell out quickly given its exclusive status. But merely being ‘exclusive’ isn’t what makes this model special.
The Ceramic Blue paint finish gives the Viper GTS a special kind of shine. Add the black stripes and the set of five-spoked “Rattler” wheels finished in Black Vapor Chrome and this Viper GTS suddenly looks like a crowd-pleasing, road-blazing terror on four wheels.
Hyperbole aside, the Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition fits a need for the Viper, which hasn’t met the kind of sales volume Dodge intended it to have.
Dodge needs to give the Viper a fresh look, especially after the attention the Hellcat twins have received the past month. Maybe the Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition is the answer. But at the very least, it’s a step in the right direction for a sports car that hasn’t received the credit it deserves.

Dodge Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition Package in detail
You probably won’t see the interior features of the Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition given the photo you’re looking at is the car’s odometer. But Dodge swears that there’s a lot to love about the cabin so I’m not going to disagree with it.
The cabin apparently received generous heaps of Alcantara and Nappa leather with the former being used on the headliner, door bolsters, and knee blockers. Meanwhile, the latter was used on the door trim with matching silver accent stitching, as well as the center console, and the instrument panel. Speaking of accents, Dodge also used carbon finer accents and added them throughout the center stack, door panels, and steering wheel.
Last but definitely not least is the exclusive carbon serialized GTS badge that’s prominently displayed on the dashboard, identifying the production number of the 40 Viper GTS models getting the Ceramic Blue Edition Package.
The exclusive paint color isn’t the only thing that stand out on the Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition. It also features a GTS sill badge, a Satin Black exhaust bezel, a Ceramic Blue fuel filler door, orange brake calipers, carbon finer brake ducts, and rear appliqué. In other words, that body has more ‘extra’ details than a Birdman Anderson’s tattooed arms.
The new Dodge Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition Package features an exclusive Ceramic Blue paint color with black stripes and five-spoke “Rattler” wheels finished exclusively in Black Vapor Chrome.
Unique exterior accents on the Ceramic Blue Edition Package include a GTS sill badge, Satin Black exhaust bezel, Ceramic Blue fuel filler door, orange brake calipers, carbon fiber brake ducts and rear applique.
Luxurious interior accents include Alcantara wrapped headliner, door bolsters and knee blockers; silver accent stitching on the Nappa leather-wrapped door trim, center console and instrument panel and on the Nappa leather and Alcantara seats. Silver accents are also added to the door panel and instrument panel. Carbon fiber accents are added throughout the center stack, door panels and steering wheel, and an exclusive carbon serialized GTS badge adorns the dashboard identifying the production number of the vehicle.
Only 40 units of the Viper GTS model with the Ceramic Blue Edition Package will be built during the 2015 model year.
