A tuned-up Aston Martin DBS happens about as often as a snowball lasting for more than an hour in a country like the Philippines so you have to understand why we got so geeked up about the DBS tuning package from Edo Competition. And if we do say so ourselves, Edo Competition did a fine job in sprucing up the DBS. In addition to a new high-performance exhaust system, the DBS package comes with special catalytic converters and high flow air filters, that bumps up the engine’s power to a pretty impressive 550 horsepower and 570 Nm; the result of which is a 0-60 mph sprint time of just under four seconds and a top speed of 199 mph. The Edo Competition DBS package also comes with a new sports suspension system, a new high performance brake system, carbon fiber shifter and shifter console on the interior and 21-inch racing wheels. Opportunities like this - tuning up a DBS - rarely happen and Edo Competition seems to have taken full advantage of the one they got, giving the Aston Martin DBS a tuning package that it can be proud of. Press release after the jump. Press release The Aston Martin DBS, upgraded by edo competition – a truly luxurious sports car. The power output was tackled first. It was agreed that 517 hp and 570 Nm (420 ft-lb) are not quite enough. The engine control unit was modified via software recalibration. Thanks to a new high performance exhaust system, special catalytic converters and high flow air filters, power output was increased to an impressive 550 hp and 600 Nm (442 ft-lb). This is enough power to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). As a matter of principle all modifications performed by edo competition are calibrated and verified on a dynamometer. This way the true power output can be documented. The edo competition sports suspension system for the DBS ensures exceptional ride comfort and superior driving dynamics. Thanks to its adjustability in height, compression and rebound damping, the setup can be matched to the customer’s driving style. The new suspension provides more cornering grip while improving high speed stability and comfort. Performance and safety are a priority, which is why edo competition has developed a new high performance brake system. Front: 405 mm rotors with 6-piston monoblock calipers and performance brake pads. Rear: 380 mm rotors with 6-piston monoblock calipers and performance brake pads, including braided stainless steel brake lines. 6 comments: Aston Martin DBS by Edo Competition The front seems so long, but I love the sophisticated appearance of this Aston Martin DBS. It is already looking great on its color. And the interior is simply awesome.
The only beautiful part that I see with the car is the interior. Nothing interesting on the exterior or the kits that it has. I like the combination of colors for the inside but for the outside, it seems like it was a rush job in choosing the proper colors.
That is a total package and it’s beyond the great thing! The car is awesome and cool. The exterior is really amazing plus the super engine.
Why on earth would anyone ever modify such a spectacular work of art as the DBS? Aston Martins have always been some of the most beautiful cars around, and anyone who buys a bodykit for them has no respect for design.
