Aston Martin DBS by Edo Competition

A tuned-up Aston Martin DBS happens about as often as a snowball lasting for more than an hour in a country like the Philippines so you have to understand why we got so geeked up about the DBS tuning package from Edo Competition.

And if we do say so ourselves, Edo Competition did a fine job in sprucing up the DBS. In addition to a new high-performance exhaust system, the DBS package comes with special catalytic converters and high flow air filters, that bumps up the engine’s power to a pretty impressive 550 horsepower and 570 Nm; the result of which is a 0-60 mph sprint time of just under four seconds and a top speed of 199 mph.

The Edo Competition DBS package also comes with a new sports suspension system, a new high performance brake system, carbon fiber shifter and shifter console on the interior and 21-inch racing wheels.

Opportunities like this - tuning up a DBS - rarely happen and Edo Competition seems to have taken full advantage of the one they got, giving the Aston Martin DBS a tuning package that it can be proud of.

The Mercedes Benz C63 AMG is a fantastic automobile. It is a compact, high power sports car capable of incredible performance numbers and has a set of bold boxed fenders to match. However there is a group of automotive enthusiasts that will always want more for this badass baby Benz. If you happen to be one of those individuals then the Edo Competition C63 is something that you might want to have a gander at.

The German tuning house has worked their magic on the entry level AMG model with a customization program that upgrades the output of the hand built motor by almost 100 HP, the 6.2 Liter V8 now makes 555 HP and 501 lb-ft of torque.

In order to make this much power Edo equipped the C63 AMG with a new high-performance exhaust system, free flowing exhaust headers, a pair of high-flow catalytic converters, new sport air filters that allow the recalibrated ECU to make the most of the naturally aspirated power plant. Adding a little show to all that go, Edo included a set of ultra-lightweight 19 inch sport wheels shod in very sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. The considerable performance gains allow the Edo C63 to sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.3 seconds and can hit a new top speed of 199 MPH.

Edo Competition California Spider

The Ferrari California has only been on the market for only a short while, but that doesn’t mean that aftermarket tuners haven’t had a chance to modify the new drop top from Maranello. Edo Competition has developed a program for the new California Spyder for those owners who wish to personalize either the looks or the power of this exceptional sports car, or both.

Starting with some 21 inch eye candy, Edo has come up with a few different wheel and tire combinations to suit a variety of Ferrari owners’ tastes. The California also sits a little closer to the ground thanks to a lowering kit that focuses on redefining the car’s ride height, while Edo is also offering a sport suspension complete with fully adjustable shocks in order to carry the maximum speed through any corner.

Edo Competition started by massaging a few extra ponies out of the high revving 4.3 Liter V8 by recalibrating the ECU to maximize the air, fuel and spark mixture. A unique feature for the Edo California is a high performance exhaust system that uses an adjustable butterfly valve to control the tone as well as a set of high flow catalytic converters to produce an impressive 500 HP and 369 ft-lb of torque. This much brute force allows the Edo tuned Spyder to go from 0 to 60 MPH in just under 3.9 seconds and clock a top speed of 196 MPH.

Edo Competition LP710 Christian Audigier Edition

How many times have you heard this, "I would really like to get a Lamborghini Murcielago, but its just not exclusive or fashionable enough for me."

Yup, we hear it everyday at the Yacht Club too. But now all those who just can’t spend enough have a new option, Edo Murcielago LP710/2 Christian Audigier Edition. The very limited edition tuned Murcielago is made even more exclusive as only five of these from designer Christian Audigier are planned.

What makes this supercar extra special are some fashion accessories. Edo already upgraded the 6.5-liter V12 from 640 hp to 710 hp. Every car will be completely customized to the buyer’s tastes, which is a good think considering each will cost about $690,000 (about $280,000 more than the "standard" Edo Murcielago LP710/2.)

Porsche Cayenne GTS by edo Competition

It looks like an SUV, but its got the engine of a sports car. It sits high but has car-like handling. It’s an off-roader, but it can got beyond 150 mph...The oxymoron that is the Porsche Cayenne GTS can go on for a while, but it seems edo Motorsport is trying to side more with the sports car in its latest package for the Porsche tall wagon.

It seems that edo is only trying to make a better GTS, because although a little computer tweaking and air flow management means the 4.8-liter V8 now makes 450 horsepower (45 more than the stock GTS), the performance doesn’t reflect this. The acceleration from 0 - 60 mph takes 6.4 seconds and the maximum speed is 168 mph. While that’s impressive, it’s not that much more than the stock car. But that’s not a bad thing. When you’re hauling around almost 5000 pounds of SUV, everyone else doesn’t mind you having a little more time to react.

Edo Competition makes the Ferrari FXX street-legal

edo competition makes the ferrari fxx street-legal picture

Edo Competition tuner is really lucky to have in its hands one of the 30 Ferrari FXXs. Although the FXX was never programmed as a model to hit the public roads, Edo Competition decided the world needed a FXX which can be released on the streets.

The standard FXX received a 6.3L V12 engine capable of 800HP and features 19-inch forged alloy wheels riding on racing slicks, brakes made of a combination of carbon fiber and ceramic, and a gearbox that can shift gears in less than 100ms. In order to furfill the German TÜV regulations Edo didn’t have to make a lot of changes. The biggest hurdle was to raise the car so it would be legal on German public roads. Other modification they brought include new brake pads, production car tires, an exhaust valve and more restrictive catalytic converter. As a nice gift, the tuner also managed to add a plus of 80HP to the existing power with the help of just a few minor ECU mods. If any of the other 29 FXX owners would like to make theirs everyday drivable, now they know where to go.
