While many believe that German automakers are only good at designing impressive luxury or sport sedans, Endora-Cars Germany is out to prove that this is indeed not the case with their new SC-1. The Endora SC-1 is a based on the Chevrolet Corvette->ke1280 and combines the classic design of the sixties and early seventies with modern technology. It is defined by dynamically flowing body lines, a sporty sketched silhouette with a distinctive swing, and, of course, impressive performance numbers.

The SC-1 will be offered in three different versions, all of them with V8 engines ranging from 437 to 647 HP. The engines will be combined with a six-speed-manual gearbox, electronic traction control, and an Active Handling-system. Take a glance at the rear of the car and you will notice it has no exhaust system, and that's because the burned gasoline will be removed by sidepipes that end directly before the rear wheel openings.

UPDATE 08/08/11: A fresh pair of photos of the Endora SC-1 was recently released, showing the styling changes made on the car from the previous version we saw sometime ago. Check 'em out in the gallery!

Pros
Cons

Exterior and Interior

The SC-1 features a long engine hood holding high-intensity-discharge headlamps and LED-fog lights, an upward designed belt line including a dynamically shaped swing, and a flowing rear end with extremely horizontally positioned back window. At the rear, it gets two LED-taillights, optically accentuated through the black body part on which they were positioned. It will sit on 19 inch alloy wheels in the front and 20 inch rims in the back.

Engine

Customers will have to choose between three different models. The base model is powered by a 6.2 Liter aluminum-V8 engine that delivers 437 hp and 424 lb-ft. The next one is a 7.0 liter V8 engine with 512 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque and the top version will be offered with a supercharged version of the 6.2 Liter V8 that will deliver an impressive 647 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque to the rear axle. The engines will be offered with a six-speed-manual gearbox, while a six-speed automatic will be optional for the smallest V8.

The suspension of the SC-1 consists of cast aluminum upper and lower control arms, transverse-mounted composite leaf springs, and monotube shock absorbers on all four ends. An electronic traction control is standard as is the Active Handling-system that monitors thedriving dynamics.

Prices

Endora-Cars has yet to reveal pricing for the SC-1, but expect full details on pricing and availability to be released in the coming months.

Competition

There are plenty of sports cars out there that may be a bit threatened by the SC-1, such as the Audi R8 and the Ferrari 458 Italia.

We may not have performance numbers for the SC-1 just yet, but the engine output surely looks promising. By comparison, the Audi R8 delivers 420 HP in its V8 version and the Ferrari 458 Italia pumps out 570 HP out of its 4.5 Liter V8. Theby their designs are obviously much crisper and better looking than the SC-1, but judging by the numbers, it looks promising.
