The Ferrari 458 Italia has already received two upgrade programs from Novitec Rosso: a "standard" one and a second one called "Twins." And now the tuner is turning their attention to the 458 Spyder. Just like with the coupe version, the roadster has also received a carbon aero kit, superlight forged wheels, an engine increase to 609 HP and a top speed of 201 mph.

The standard 458 Spyder delivers a total of 570 HP, but Novitec Rosso has added a special carbon-fiber air box with modified air routing and a high-performance exhaust system. As a result the car delivers a total of 609 HP at 9,100 rpm and a peak torque of 419 lbs-ft at 5,400 rpm.

For the exterior the tuner is offering a new front fascia upgraded with a two-piece front spoiler and side flaps, new sill skirts and a new rear spoiler lip or a rear wing. All these elements are made in carbon fiber. The car sits on a new set of 22" forged wheels combined with a hydraulic suspension system that can raise the car's ride by 40 mm or lower it by 35 mm.

The exterior and the interior

Novitec Rosso has made the 458 Spyder even more aerodynamic by adding a pretty impressive exterior kit made in carbon fiber. The kit starts with a new front fascia upgraded with a two-piece front spoiler and side flaps for further reduced lift at high speeds, while the round out the carbon-fiber look the wings in the air scoops and the ventilation grilles in the front fenders are also manufactured from this material.

The exterior mirrors are also made in carbon fiber and so are the side skirts. At the rear the tuner added a rear spoiler lip or a rear wing – both made from carbon fiber as well. For the car's rear the tuner has also added black taillights emphasized visually with carbon-fiber bezels, black side markers and the black auxiliary LED brake light.

For the interior Novitec Rosso is offering the same carbon fiber treatment, starting with the center console that has been extended downward, the bezels above the speedometer and the climate sensor as well as with shift paddles. To this you can add a leather package offered in any imaginable color.

Engine and technical updates

With its 570 HP the V8 engine is very impressive. But if it can do better, why shouldn't we try to update it, no? With the right updates the tuner managed to squeeze an extra 39 HP from the V8 engine, but also increased the top speed by 3 mph.

The engine kit includes a special carbon-fiber air box with modified air routing and a new high-performance exhaust system. The exhaust system is manufactured from INCONEL - a highly stress-proof yet extremely lightweight material also used on exhausts for Formula 1 engines, consists of two high-performance manifolds, sport catalysts and a rear muffler.

Next to these new elements the tuner is also offering a newly programmed engine electronics with custom mapping for ignition and injection. The final result is pretty impressive: 609 HP at 9,100 rpm and a peak torque of 419 lbs-ft at 5,400 rpm. Top speed goes up to 201 mph - from the standard 198 mph.

The car sits on a new set of 22" forged wheels combined with a hydraulic suspension system that can raise the car's ride by 40 mm or lower it by 35 mm.

Prices

Novitec Rosso did not revealed any prices for their tuning kit just yet, but for sure it will be pretty expensive.

The competition

There aren't many tuners to offer an upgrade package for the 458 Spyder just yet, but for sure things will change in the near future. The only package we can think of right now is the 458 Italia Spyder Monaco by Mansory. And although all we know until now about the Monaco package is only referring to the car's exterior package, for sure the tuner will be offering the same extra 20 HP they are also offering in the coupe version. Of course this is just half of the update offered by Novitec!
