This is not Kahn Design’s->ke1726 first tuning kit for the Ferrari 458 Spider. The the first was unveiled back in 2012 and just like this latest one, it only includes exterior and interior upgrades.

The new package starts with a lowered suspension and features a new front section and rear styling details painted in black. The car sits on Monza forged alloy wheels finished in any desired color with black painted calipers peeking through the rims.

For the exterior, the tuner opted for a very nice Grigio Alloy paint and replaced the fabric roof with a new, folding hardtop. The roof folds in 14 seconds, and is 25 kg (55 pounds) lighter than the original top.

For the interior, the only update offered is the addition of a luxurious Nero trim. As usual, Kahn offers its clients the possibility to opt for any desired color, leather or any other imagined material.

Ferrari 458 Spider by Kahn Design Up Close

As usual, Kahn Design is not a tuner that offers tons of upgrades on a car, but limits to change only the essentials and this new package is no exception to the norm. Kahn focused on only improving the general look of the car, with no upgrades to improve handling or aerodynamic features; after all, a Ferrari really doesn’t require such updates.

Buyers get get a new range of colors, and new front and rear sections with a matte finish. The only "major" update is that lowered suspension system that offers the car a more aggressive look and the new folding hardtop that helps reduce the car's weight by 55 pounds.

Ferrari 458 Italia Spider

The 458 Spider was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, one year after the coupe version arrived on the market.

Just like with the coupe version, the 458 Spider is powered by a 4.5-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 570 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 400 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. This output is enough to sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph.

On the U.S. market, the model is priced at $257,000.
