Today, DMC announced the first details on a new limited-edition project based on the Ferrari 458 Italia. Called "Estremo," this new tuning kit was specially designed for DMC's first client in Tokyo, Japan. The kit includes the typical mods within its body kit, but it also lowers the 458 Italia->ke3479's weight between 50 to 80 kilos (110 to 176 pounds) compared to the stock model.

The 458 Italia gets a new front fascia with extreme air channels for better cooling and some additional downforce. The side-vented hood helps drop the 458's curb weight and give it a unique look. Down the sides, DMC adds new side skirts that give the Ferrari an aggressive look and allows the wind to flow down the side unimpeded. On the rear, the 458 gains a new fascia in carbon fiber and a massive wing for even more downforce.

Under the hood the V-8 engine was updated with an optimized Engine management, refined air-filter and professional exhaust system. As a result it delivers an extra 22 horsepower - up to 592 horsepower. This allows the 458 "Estremo" to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and up to a top speed of 206 mph.

The new 458 "Estremo" will be limited to only 15 units and every 3rd customer will get a Gold-Edition which features an extra body part - not revealed for now.

The car rides on a set of forged wheels, sized 9-by-20 inches up front and 11-by-21 inches on the rear. They are wrapped in sport tires sized 245/35ZR20 up front and 305/30ZR21 on the rear. The wheels and tires combine with a sports suspension that lowers the car's ride by 30 mm (1.18 inches) to give the 458 even better handling characteristics..
