The 2013 North American International Auto Show->ke222 - or you can just call it the Detroit Auto Show - is replete with concept vehicles, special-edition models, and world debuts.
Italian automaker Fiat->ke30, by way of sister-company Chrysler->ke21, is preparing a pair of concept 500 vehicles tagged as the 500 Abarth Tenebra and the 500 Turbo Cattiva.
The latter of those two models is the subject of these pages and if we're going to throw a compliment its way, it's that it's a lot more attractive to our eyes than its monotone co-debutante.
We’re not saying that there's nothing appealing about the Tenebra; it's just that we'd much rather be driving the Cattiva out and about on the road. We don't know if Fiat has any production plans for this model seeing as they tagged it with the “concept” label, but if given a chance, we'd love to see the Cattiva in dealerships in the future.

Exterior
Just like the 500 Abarth Tenebra, we had to harness our best sleuthing skills to figure out what the word "Cattiva" meant. Thanks to the wonder that is Merriam-Webster, we discovered that it's actually an Italian word that means “naughty.” Nice start…
Unlike the Abarth 500 Tenebra, you can actually see a little vibrancy with the 500 Turbo-based Cattiva Concept, thanks in large part to a Rame -- that's copper in simpler parlance -- exterior color. To add some contrast to that visibly attractive shade, the Italian automaker also added some Nero touches on the exterior, including Nero Chrome accents, a Gloss Nero headlamp, taillight and parking lamp bezels.
Not content with the Nero touches, Fiat also used this glossy-style shade on the Cinquecento silhouette, the roof and the liftgate spoiler. Rounding out the exterior modifications are a set of 16-inch satin dark grey aluminum wheels, giving the 500 Cattiva a much livelier look than its Detroit tag-team partner, the 500 Abarth Tenebra.
Interior
We don't know why Fiat wasn't consistent with the design of the 500 Cattiva's interior relative to its copper-toned exterior, as you won't see any of the shade on the inside. There's a lot of Nero to it, though, including the leather sport seats, the instrument panel, the sport-designed steering wheel, and the manual transmission shift knob, the latter two are hand-stitched with Argento (silver) stitching. And just like the 500 Abarth Tenebra, the interior of the 500 Turbo Cattiva boasts the "segment-exclusive" Beats Audio system.
Performance
There are no performance upgrades with this baby, so expect to see the same 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine that puts out 135 horsepower and 150 pounds per feet of torque that you'll find in the Fiat 500 Turbo.
