Fiat’s->ke30 presenting a trio of special-edition 500 models in Paris this week. It just won’t be at the 2014 Paris Motor Show->ke227. Instead, the Italian automaker is taking its new special-edition->ke2041 500s to Champs Elysées as part of this year’s Fashion Week. One of the three special 500s is called the Ron Arad Edition, a nod to the internationally celebrated designer who had a hand in designing the car.

Needless to say, the 500 Ron Arad Edition is loaded with plenty of Arad-inspired design cues, which people will likely appreciate more if they knew the kind of clientele the man has. Those who know the industrial designer, artist, and architect's style will be thrilled to know that his imprint is fully evident on the 500, beginning with the tux-style look of the little hatch all the way to the plethora of luxury additions on the compact car’s->ke140 interior.

The Fiat 500 Ron Arad Edition will hit dealers across the major European markets in November 2014. It’s unlikely that we’ll see it in the U.S., but for our friends in Europe, purchasing the car means that Fiat’s going to personally deliver it to your house and include an accurate 1:18 scale model of the vehicle itself.

Fiat 500 Ron Arad Edition in detail

For this particular 500, Arad opted for a black finish. Sounds simple, right? But that’s not what makes this 500 unique. Notice the special white outlines drawn on the sides of the car; that’s the silhouette of the 1957 Fiat 500, known to Fiat enthusiasts as the "Cinquino." The white-on-black color combination creates a formal and classy look that’s indicative of Arad’s quintessential design and architectural style.

Other exterior details include new fog lights, white mirror caps, and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.

There are no pictures of the car's interior, but apparently, there's a lot more to it than meet's the eye. It's got black Poltrona Frau leather seats with matching ivory trim, similar to the look of the car's exterior.

There are also plenty of chrome-plated accents, a leather steering wheel, a seven-inch TFT instrument panel, and a glass roof, among other items.

The Fiat 500 normally doesn't get these luxurious amenities, but with Arad taking command of the design process, nothing's apparently too luxurious for this particular Italian hot hatch.

Fiat 500

It’s a little disappointing that the Fiat 500 Ron Arad Edition won’t make it stateside, but at least we still get the standard 500 here.

The new 2015 Fiat 500 didn’t get a lot of exterior changes, but it did receive plenty of attention on the inside, including a new seven-inch, high-definition TFT cluster display, a redesigned center console, a new USB port, and of course, a new cup holder. Nothing speaks to new digs more than a cup holder.

Under its hood, the 500 is powered by the same 1.4-liter, inline-four engine that packs 101 horsepower and 98 pound-feet of torque. It’s not a lot, but it’s more than enough for the 500 to cover a 0-to-60-mph sprint in 10.5 seconds to go with a top speed of about 120 mph.

Pricing for the Fiat 500 hits around $16,000 for the coupe version and a little under $20,000 for the cabrio version.
