If you’ve been dying to own a Ferrari but have no financial means of getting one, we may have found just the car for you. While the Fiat Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari isn’t exactly a prancing horse in disguise, the car, which is a limited-edition Fiat 500 in real life, does pay tribute to its supercar brethren.
As we’ve said, the car isn’t brimming with horsepower underneath its hood but the Abarth 695 Tributo does pack quite a mean punch, relative to its size, of course. It’s 1.4-liter turbocharged T-Jet engine is more than what its counterpart the Toyota IQ-inspired Aston Martin Cygnet can boast of. Likewise, Abarth and Ferrari technicians joined forces in making the car and strengthening its suspension and braking system to make it sturdier and as a result of the added power. The car has also been outfitted with performance-enhanced and Ferrari-designed 17-inch alloy wheels. This special-edition vehicle also comes with unique features including carbon fiber door mirrors and Xenon headlights, which, if you’re curious to know, are three times brighter than its halogen counterparts.
It hardly comes as a surprise to us that Fiat would release a Ferrari edition of the Abarth. After all, they do own the Prancing Horse, yes? But more than that, the joint venture came as a result of acollaboration between two brands that share a common passion for performance and style, done the Italian way. The car is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show although there’s still no timetable set as to when the car will be rolled out of production but we’re optimistic that once it does, it should become a hot item among cash-strapped Ferrari enthusiasts.
Fiat Grande Punto has just changed its name into Punto Evo, a name that symbolize a new level of technology, design, driving pleasure and environment respect. The new Punto Evo will make its official debut in two weeks at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new Fiat Punto Evo comes with a wide choice of Euro 5 engines, including a 1.3 second generation Multijet diesel and a 1.4 petrol engine with the revolutionary MultiAir technology. Compared to a conventional petrol engine of the same size, a MultiAir engine develops more power (up to 10%) and torque (up to 15%), while consuming significantly less (up to 10%) and emitting less CO2 (up to 10%), less particulates (up to 40%) and less NOx (up to 60%).
In the area of safety, the Punto Evo sets new standards thanks to 7 airbags, including a driver knee airbag. The Punto Evo is one of very few cars in its segment with a driver knee airbag fitted as standard on all versions. Other innovative safety systems are also available, including Hill-Holder to help with hill starts, adaptive ’cornering’ front fog lights that switch on automatically with dipped headlights according to the angle of steering, and Fiat’s tried and tested ABS, EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution) and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) systems.

As promised Fiat offered today a preview of its future 500C set to be revealed in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
The 500C has the same dimensions as the coupe version: 3.55 m x 1.65 m x 1.49 m. It is also powered by the same three engines available in the hardtop: a 1.3-liter 75 hp Multijet turbodiesel, 1.2-liter 69 hp gad unit, or 1.4-liter 100 hp gas engine. The big difference is what Fiat calls, "a fully fledged window to the sky."
The 500C follows in the tradition of the original Fiat 500 and uses a rolling roof design that allows the car to retain the shape of the coupe. Because the car does not lose its B or C pillars, structural rigidity that can easily be lost when turning a car into a convertible should be minimized here. The soft top will be available in three colors (ivory, red and black) and sales should begin in Europe in the spring.

Fiat has launched a new Bravo special edition. Called Bravo MSN, the car is the result of the collaboration between Microsoft and Fiat. The new Fiat Bravo MSN will go on sale starting 26th June.
The special edition is available for the 1.6 Multijet 16v 120HP diesel and features the world’s latest technologies: Instant Nav radio navigation, Blue&Me technology, built-in TMC Premium functionK770i Cyber-Shot mobile phone sold by Sony Ericsson.

Can someone please tell me what is with people and pink car? If until now you have seen car customized by clients, this pink 500 was created by Fiat itself. It is called 500 Barbie and was created in order to celebrate Barbie’s fiftieth birthday celebrations in Milan.
This special edition features a pink paintwork on the exterior; on the interior the seating is upholstered in strikingly soft fabrics: silver laminated Alcantara is not only trendy but plush to the touch and its glimmer bounces as far as the roof panel.
Then there are mats enhanced with natural silk yarn and sleek viscose, not to mention lip glosses in brilliant colours stored in the glove compartment, plus a LED-decked vanity mirror to ensure perfect application.
The car has more features than a crown has jewels! Crystals sparkle on interior bezels, hubcaps, outer window mouldings and antenna and even outline the doll’s famed silhouette on the pillars. Lastly, this Fiat 500 show car also has its own glossy cover, featuring the distinctive Sixties version of the Fiat 500 and a Barbie autograph.

Fiat launched today the Grande Punto Natural Power, a model powered by new dual fuel (gas/methane). Same methane-petrol dual fuel system will be offered for the following models: Multipla Natural Power, Punto Natural Power, Panda Panda Natural Power, Panda Panda Climbing Natural Power and Doblò Natural Power.
When running on methane the car is able to cover 310 km with the tank filled to its full capacity of 84 liters. This record-breaking figure is increased by the 45 liter fuel tank capacity: this means that the Grande Punto Natural Power can be driven for more than 1000 kilometres without refueling.
The new model also offers a 1.4 8v Fire unit that is already compliant with the EURO5 emissions directive and offers low CO2 emissions (115 g/km) that allow customers access to the maximum state incentives.
This car will likely stay Euro-only because although the Fiat Group has announced Alfa Romeo’s return to the U.S., it has not yet announced any Fiat cars are coming. A low-volume natural gas powered car would probably not be a wise first entry compared to the 500.

On September 28, Fiat will unveil a special edition 500 called “F1TM Limited Edition”. Although there are no performance modifications (only cosmetic,) the car may still be highly desirable considering production is limited to 12 units total. The cars are equipped with the same 1.4 16v engine available on the rest of the range, which is good for 100 hp and a 113 mph top speed.
This special edition is only available in Singapore, and yet no one at Fiat thought of calling it the "Singapore Sling"?

Fiat will unveil at the Paris Auto Show the new PUR-O2 line that will be available on the 500, Croma and Bravo from November. The 500 PUR-O2 has a CO2 emissions of 115 g/km.
The PUR-O2 version, built on the basis of a Fiat 500 Lounge, is fitted with the tried and tested 1.2 petrol engine and equipped with the Start&Stop system, a device that turns the engine off temporarily and restarts it during periods when the engine would be idling with the car at a standstill.
From January 2009, it will also be possible to combine the system with a Dualogic gearbox that allows optimum management of gear shifts and offers high mechanical efficiency. In detail, the automated transmission offers a basis for smart management of engine on/off status, shaving even more off fuel consumption figures and guaranteeing CO2 emission levels even lower than 115 g/km.

Fiat revealed details today on the new Fiorino-based Qubo MPV. Although Fiat does not currently sell to the U.S., it is rumored the company will possibly be making a comeback. So it is good to know what Fiat will offer in a fuel-efficient multi-purpose vehicle.
Fiat is known for using versatile designs for the inside of its MPVs. The Qubo’s larger brother, the Multipla, seats six by having three full seats in the front and rear. Fiat claims the Qubo is as resourceful by offering sixteen different interior variations.
Power for the five-seater comes from a choice of gasor diesel engines like the 1.3-liter 75 bhp Multijet or 1.4-liter 73 bhp petrol engine and can be hooked up to a 5-speed manual or a robotized 6-speed automatic transmission.
Sales have already begun in France and will have spread to the rest of Europe by the beginning of next year. Price of the Euro-only car starts at about €13,000.
