Hip Hop guru of car customization Funkmaster Flex brings his vision of urban luxury to Ford’s newest crossover with the Flex2. His signature two-tone paint scheme is integrated cleverly into the Flex2 through a House of Kolor Kandy custom paint job that features a Brandywine body color and a unique faux-brushed aluminum roof. Ford Flex spotted in the open
A seemingly production ready Ford Flex has been spotted parked in the open, lacking only badges identifying it (other than a Ford oval on the grill and tailgate). Judging by the wheel size and appearance, it’s probably a base model version. The Flex seems to be ahead of schedule, because the scheduled introduction is model year 2009. Recently I got a sneak peak at Ford’s pre-production seven-passenger “crossover” that’s due in showrooms sometime next summer. Looking seriously close to production-ready, the 2009 Ford Flex debuted at the 2005 NAIAS as the Ford Fairlane Concept. With a new name and bold exterior design, this could be the next iconic Ford, couldn’t it? Ford Flex ’s Special Resemblance
When seeing photos of the new Ford Flex, I can not help but think about another Suv on the market within the Ford family: this Suv being the Range Rover Sport. Visually the Flex has a similar stance, profile and front to the Range Rover sport but its is squished down to give it the wagon look that Ford was looking for.
