The Changan Ford Racing Team is looking forward to the 2008 China Circuit Championship (CCC) series and the opportunity to build on the outstanding success of the Changan Ford Racing Focus race car in its 2007 season.

The Changan Ford Racing Focus delivered a strong performance throughout the 2007 season, winning the annual champion of CCC 2007 and the racer’s annual runner-up title. The excellence performance of Focus racing car is fully demonstrated to consumers through the competition which strongly promoted the sales of Focus.

The Focus race cars used by Changan Ford Racing boast reworked versions of the 2.0-litre Focus engine, delivering 270 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque. The Changan Ford Racing Focus race cars demonstrated superior performance in all conditions throughout the 2007 season.

"The fantastic results further demonstrate the competitiveness of Changan Ford Racing and our winning spirit,” said Mr. Jeffrey Shen, President of Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd.

“As a star of CCC race, Changan Ford Racing achieved a lot in 2007 CCC, including 3 stops’ championship, 1 stop’s running-up and 2 stops’ second running-up. Our racing partner FRD, our racers, engineers and sponsors made solid progress and gained valuable experiences through each stop."

Rainey He, the Changan Ford racer, CCC annual runner-up said: “It’s my first time to attend the 2000cc group race, and I am very impressed with the cooperation with Changan Ford. It is rare to see the high level of technical support they provide with. This will certainly contribute to our ongoing success in 2008. The Ford Focus 2.0 has an enviable racing reputation and, with continuous improving and adjustments, Ford Focus will definitely continue to be a championship contender."
