Press release A new standard 6.2-liter V8 engine pumping out 411 horsepower, new technologies and a newly available SuperCrew option that gives Raptor customers more choices in cab size all ensure the 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor will remain the off-road performance truck champion in the new model year. The F-150 SVT Raptor is the first-ever high-speed off-road performance truck offered by any manufacturer and highlights 33 years of Ford truck sales leadership by emphasizing F-150’s Built Ford Tough durability, innovation and engineering. Developed with the DNA of an off-road pre-runner, comprehensive modifications focused on chassis and suspension enhancements. The new available 145-inch-wheelbase SuperCrew offering with a 5.5-foot box adds to the extensive list of F-150 SVT Raptor features. While contributing additional space and flexibility for the customer, the SuperCrew delivers performance as well. Revved up and readyThe previously optional 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque, will now be the standard engine for the 2011 F-150 SVT Raptor, the most powerful half-ton pickup on the market. New color and graphic optionsRaptor’s exterior also receives some new touches for 2011, in the form of an additional paint color – Ingot Silver Metallic – that will be available with the standard black interior, or the optional Molten Orange Interior Accent Package. More capability, more technologyKey to helping customers take advantage of all the capability offered by the F-150 SVT Raptor is a standard 4.2-inch LCD (liquid crystal display) productivity screen that is integrated in the center of the new instrument gauges, which have a black face, red pointers and ice blue daytime lighting. Also used on the all-new 2011 Super Duty, the technology was specifically tailored for off-road use with Raptor. For the customer who wants more control of transmission gear selection, SelectShift Automatic transmission functionality also is introduced on Raptor. A toggle switch located on the console shift lever engages the mode, where the transmission doesn’t second-guess the driver, giving him or her total control over gear selection and performance feel. Upshifts, for instance, are not commanded at redline, and downshifts are allowed at the lowest gear possible as defined by the engine speed.
2010 Raptor equals hot sellerSales of the truck are off to an impressive start, selling four times quicker than the average 11 comments: Ford F-150 SVT Raptor SSCTuatra (368) Posted on 11.8.2011 I just simply love this Raptor truck, for it really looks so masculine on its platform and the interior that it had been very striking and awesome for a truck like this.
GoldenBullet (356) Posted on 11.3.2011 The dashboard that this Raptor had been looking so awesome on this truck, and I must say that I love the artistic design of its exterior. I’m also glad that it can offer more technologies.
Veyron101 (548) Posted on 10.28.2011 I must say that I’m so impressed with this truck! Well, it looks absolutely so masculine and massive on its platform and even on its wheels. I’m also glad that aside from being a good-looking, it had an impressive interior as well.
Martin_DJo (353) Posted on 10.25.2011 I love the artistic design of this truck, and I can say that it is absolutely looks very massive on that wheels and platform, even the interior of this one is looking so striking.
amauri_grecco (612) Posted on 10.19.2011 It looks too bulky for pick-up trucks, but I still find it so massive on that platform and I just noticed that the interior looks so luxurious for it, and the body paint are really looking great on it.
Timothy_Nives (94) Posted on 10.5.2011 This Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is very muscular and appealing on its appearance. I can say that among all pick up cars that I saw this one is the best good-looking one. The engine is quite good enough.
ChromeGrille (409) Posted on 07.22.2011 This pick-up truck is quite impressive, especially the graphical design, It makes the car look aggressive ant it really is. It would be very useful for some mountaineers who want to hang out.
M1919A2 (1) Posted on 02.9.2011 Unica, general statements are useless in evaluating YOUR biases! If you would, list those things "as an off-roader in general this thing just isn’t versatile enough in its capabilities". I would be satisfied if you could list three (3), more would be most useful and less would raise the ’sour grapes’ question! Thank you and if you would care you can PM me with those lists.
james_patron (342) Posted on 09.5.2010 I love the new accent graphics, can we choose other color and still have the accent graphics.
Uncia (867) Posted on 09.3.2010 This truck is great at what it does, but what it does isn’t going to come into too much use. The fact that it is so biased to desert running and didn’t even factor other off-road environments into its development makes this a poor all-rounder. This may be the perfect car for high-speed desert chases (when a customer will use that, I don’t know), but as an off-roader in general this thing just isn’t versatile enough in its capabilities. The Wrangler and FJ Cruiser have this thing beat.
