2011 Ford Mustang 'V6 Sport Appearance' Limited Edition

Seeing as its home to one of the world’s biggest automakers, it goes without saying that the Japanese have a deep understanding of their cars. And yes, that includes American muscles.

So it really isn’t all that surprising to find out that Ford is unveiling a special edition Mustang exclusively for citizens of the Rising Sun. The car is being packaged as the "Mustang V6 Sport Appearance" and comes with a unique color scheme with plenty of added goodies to go with it.

The special Edition Mustang comes in two different color schemes, a "Performance White" version and a more retro-styled "Grabber Blue" paint finish. Both styles offer special pin stripes on both the bonnet, as well as on the side of the car. On top of that, there’s also a rear boot lid spoiler, a set of 18" chromed alloy wheels wrapped in 235/50 R18 tires, and special leather seats on the interior. As for the powertrain, the Mustang V6 Sport Appearance, which comes in both coupe and controvertible versions, boasts of a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 309 horsepower and 279 lb/ft of torque.

As a special edition model, this Mustang will only be limited to 25 units for each body style. The Coupe version retails cheaper than the convertible version: 4.35 million yen to 5.05 million. Taking our calculators, that converts to about $54,250 and $63,000, respectively, which may be pretty steep considering that its American brethren retails for a lot cheaper. The 2012 Mustang 5.0 retails for about half of that price here in the US.

Nevertheless, there’s a price to pay for a premium car, which is exactly what this limited edition Mustang is going to be.

I love the fact that it is a four seater convertible! Well, I find it more convenient to use than with the other vehicle. Moreover, I’m so impressed with how they perfectly combined the sporty and decent appearance of it.

It is not really bad at all. You can also line up this one with those sophisticated cars but with not those cars having an impressive engine performance. I must agree that V6 is not really impressive for a mustang car.

I don’t like the longer based wheel of the car. The speed performance is not that impressive though it has a cheaper price.

hmm. I think this is the less powerful muscle car though it only uses a v6 engine. And I guess its hard rooftop adds weight to the car.

The trademark of Mustang is the stripe lines within the car. As you look at the car, it still has the pin stripes. However, It is a good thing that it is limited and exclusive for the people of the rising sun.

I think it is likely that they will do that, since this one is looking to be a success in the Japanese market. Ford will always be on the lookout for cashing in on something, you know.

I wish they would do a local version of this one here in the States. This baby really looks nice with all the features that they have included, and I am sure that folks here would love it.

Yeah, you are right on that one. The thi9ng with the Mustang is that it is very iconic, so you really need not to change a lot of it. And even if you do, it would still be loved by a lot of folks.

hmm... I think Ford Mustang’s design never loses its momentum. No matter how ford transforms their model, it definitely and still gorgeous as ever.

It seems that Ford is really trying to keep up pace with the Chevrolet Camaro when it comes to releases. If I can remember correctly, several new Camaro special editions were launched just last month.

Man, they are really going in with these country exclusive special editions. If I can remember correctly, it was just a few months back when Ford released several exclusive Mustang versions for the Chinese market.

Well, it does look very good. But I wonder if they would have done something to the engine, since this is a special edition ride. It would really be a good one if its the case.

Except for the top, this one actually seems to be a bit on the ordinary to me. Good thing though that they have made adjustments on the engine to add more to its performance.

Wow, it is rather rare that you see a convertible Mustang nowadays, and they definitely made this one rare one even more special with those specs. Too bad that it’s Japan exclusive.

The details of this car is awesome though I don’t like its platform. And I cannot figure out on what’s so special about the V6 technology it really makes the car seems slower and less powerful.

Well, its a good thing that they are offering a spacious interior! However, due to its wider version it actually ruined the awesomeness of this car and I don’t like on what I see.
