2011 Ford Performance Vehicles GT Black Limited Edition

This is what happens when a concept car receives great praise; a production version, albeit a limited edition, soon follows. Last month, Ford Performance Vehicles introduced the FPV Concept at the Australian International Motor Show to tremendous praise. The fallout has resulted in a limited edition version of the car, called the GT Black.

Similar to the FPV Concept, the GT Black kept the all-black finish that made it so popular. It’s dressed in a Silhouette Black paint finish complemented by matte black stripe decals on the entire car, including the bonnet, front and rear bumpers, rear diffuser, rear wing, and even the upper and lower grilles. Heck, even the fog lamp bezels have been finished in black! Rounding out the exterior feature are a set of 19" five-spoke alloy wheels finished in - you guessed it! - gloss black.

Inside the car, there’s plenty more of that all-black treatment. The seats are dressed in black leather. The Interior Command Center comes in black and the gear shift badge found on manual transmission models also comes in a unique black finish. Suffice to say, the FPV GT Black Limited Edition does its name justice, wouldn’t you say?

Then there’s the engine, which we assure you doesn’t come in black. What it does come in is a 5.0-liter Miami supercharged V8 engine with an output of 455 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 420 lb/ft of torque from 2,200-5,500 rpm.

The Boss GT -based muscle car will only be limited to 125 units with each model coming with a unique build badge and certificate of authenticity, making it a true special edition muscle car that should attract its fair share of attention.

It still looks good on its matte body paint, but I think it will look more impressive if they add some design or style on its exterior. Moreover, I’m already quite satisfied on its engine.

I love the aesthetic design of this new model of Ford, even though I really don’t find this one a muscled car, I can say that I’m impressed with its striking engine and horsepower which I’m sure can give a better performance on it.

Is it really on matte color? If it is, I can say that it is still very striking and so cool on that body paint, but I hope they also include some pictures on its interior.

haha. I thought this was a kidnapper’s getaway car! Well, I like also the styling of the vehicle. Its tuning package really transforms the vehicle into an impressive production vehicle! Too bad that it comes up in limited edition.

Well, I have say that I’m really impressed with the performance of the Boss. Its nice to see a modified version of this car. The matter color look so sporty on this vehicle. Plus, its great that it offer an upgrade on its engine.

Sorry guys, but I don’t feel any excitement for this production. Well, I can’t figure out on what’s so special on limited edition! IMO, this is just a modified version of the original car. BTW, the full black color for the vehicle doesn’t emphasize the details.

Yeah I agree that on that one. Aside from the headlights, I can’t identified where’s the modified furnish on its exterior! Anyway, its a good thing that they have offered an engine upgrade on the vehicle. The deliver power is unbelievable for a muscle car.

Actually, I don’t like the color of the car. A shiny color is what I’ve been looking for a car, especially if it is black. Speaking with the headlights, I can say that it is a standard headlight and somehow looks like the Corolla.

if you are one of the people that like this car just remember; at the end of the day you bough a family school bus with a GT badge on it. Think about it ford

headlights look like its a corolla
