At the end of 2010, Ford ran an interesting poll to find a name for their 2012 Mustang V6 Performance Package. After 1.4 million fans took the opportunity to make their suggestions known on the company’s Mustang Facebook page, Ford has decided to call the package Mayhem.

"We saw great enthusiasm from fans, with tons of creative, unique names coming in," said Brian McClary, Ford social and emerging media specialist. "The contest was twofold – it let us engage with fans by letting them have a say, and it helped build awareness for the package."

The man behind the name came from Charlotte, N.C. and as his prize, Ford has provided him with a three year lease on a 2012 Mustang equipped with the Mayhem Mustang Package.

The new Mayhem package will be offered with the same all-aluminum Ti-VCT V6 engine producing 305 HP as found in the standard model, but will benefit from a few extras. A unique electronic stability control calibration with sport mode for performance driving has been added to boost the driving experience and Mustang GT front and rear brake calipers with performance friction pads do their job by providing greater stopping force. The upgraded Mustang will also receive Mustang GT coupe front and rear stabilizer bars, Mustang GT front struts and rear shocks/springs, a Shelby GT500 rear lower control arm, and a strut tower brace for increased body rigidity. There will also be unique 19-inch wheels wrapped around Pirelli performance tires, some unique badging, and a 3.31 rear axle ratio for quicker off-the-line acceleration.

For me, this car is just a vintage car that must be put in the rest ! For sure Ford has a lot of new concepts for their future production.

Well, for me, it only looks so simple and ordinary for a coupe, but I must say that the modesty and hygienic body paint of this one are very striking on it, but I’m quite wondering on what will be the interior of this one will look like.

Yeah, there’s a lot of modification in the engine of the car. The 300 hp for the car is quite impressive. I wonder if this car can do the smokey tyres drifting?hehe

The modified exterior of the car is kind of impressive. The package really makes the car more powerful and awesome. BTW, I think it would be better if they have use a more modern technology.

Well, the 305 horsepower for a muscle car is quite impressive already. I think the Ford needs to use a more engine for their car. However, I wonder on what would be the competitor of this production vehicle?

The Ford’s muscle car has a higher sale compare to the Dodge. Now, who have said that the production of the Mustang need to be killed? The car looks so sporty though it needs an engine upgrade.

Well, I don’t think that the car has an impressive performance since it uses an outdated engine. And it seems that they haven’t made a major modification for the exterior and the interior of the car. I don’t think that there’s special on this edition.

The good thing about the Mustang was , although it is a vintage production. Admittedly, the car still have an impressive speed performance. And Ford manage to still give us something new for this car.

Although, it look so vintage, I’m still drooling on the features of this car! The aerodynamic kit offer is kind of impressive. BTW, I think for a v6 technology car, 305 horsepower is kind of impressive!

hmm. I think among the Mustang that I have seen so far, this one look very simple. BTW, I think it would be better if Ford is using a more modern technology for this car so that it wouldn’t looks so vintage!
