Top Gear host and racer extraordinaire, Tanner Foust, is fixing to get a pretty sweet special-edition Ford Focus ST, thanks to its new partnership with Cobb Tuning.

The decision to build a custom-tuned version of the Focus ST Tanner Foust Edition was born from the success of the concept model that Foust first unveiled at the 2012 SEMA Auto Show. Apparently, a lot of people liked it enough that it's gotten to the point where Cobb Tuning will be sprucing up the already appealing sports hatch.

Cobb says that it's planning to give the special edition Focus plenty of new carbon-fiber add ons to go with a new custom grille, fancy race graphics, and a wheel and tire program. There will also be plenty of tuning and it will feature a new intercooler, intake, exhaust and suspension components, and most importantly, an ECU calibration that should drive up the Focus ST's output to somewhere in the vicinity of 300 horsepower.

Expect the custom tuned Focus ST Foust Edition to hit Ford dealerships later this year with pricing and complete specs to be announced a little earlier.
