Shelby->ke81 unveiled a wide body version for the 2013 Shelby GT500 at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Called the GT500 Super Snake Wide Body, the new package takes the standard 662 horsepower output of the 2013 GT500 and takes it up to a supercar-like 850 ponies.
The wide body kit has been specially designed to accommodate the 13 inch-wide rear and 10 inch-wide front wheels, and includes a carbon front splitter, larger tail spoiler, rear diffuser and side skirts.
The model will be offered with a choice of exterior colors, including: Satin Black, Gloss White, Silver, Blue and Red stripes. You can also opt for a partial wide body, which widens only the rear or front of the `Stang.
The 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake package is priced at $28,995 (662-horsepower version) and $39,995 (850-horsepower version). The wide body option adds another $17,995. Price for the base GT500 is not included, so you’re looking between $101,640 and $112,640 for the coupe version, and you can tack on an extra $5k if you choose to go with a convertible model. That's not including the optional goodies that Shelby has to offer either.
