Ford and Roush have joined forced one more time and have developed a one-off Stage 3 Mustang that will put on auction May 16th, as part of the SAE Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. All the proceeds will go to SAE and will help to promote and support foundation’s math and science education programs.

The car will be painted in custom silver and will feature a pretty impressive Roush body kit. It will include a hood scoop, a new grille with RS3 badge, a Ford Laguna Seca Boss front chin splitter, a rear decklid spoiler and valance and dual chamber exhaust tips. This impressive body kit will be combined with lots of painted graphics and the signature of Edsel Ford II, Bill Ford Jr. and Jack Roush.

For the interior Roush will add Recaro seats, a Ford Laguna Seca X Brace, illuminated door sill plates, a Roush gauge cluster and billet pedals.

The car will keep the same supercharged 5.0L-4v powertrain found in the 2013 Stage 3 models, but output will be increased from 565 HP to 625HP and 540 ft-lbs. And in order to handle the extra power the tuner will add a Roush-tuned suspension; SVT GT500 track pack wheels and Roush four-piston brakes.

UPDATE 05/20/12: The Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang Special Edition has been sold with a final bid for the car reaching $100,000. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to benefit the SAE Foundation’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education programs.

It’s too bad that their special edition basically didn’t mark as a milestone.

This one is somehow as powerful as the Chevrolet Camaro.

This special edition isn’t really effective because it doesn’t look more powerful.

Roush keeps the staggering looks of the Mustang.

I can see how this is really special in its very own way.

Mustang is known for strong stance and appearance, and Roush didn’t fail on this one.

Only its engine is the source of its attraction.

We all know that we’re looking forward to a greatly powerful performance with this type of a car. The specialized edition enhanced it even further.

As they have made it a special edition, they should have at least improved its styling. Unfortunately, I don’t see any attractive feature in it.

As for the car itself, I honestly don’t like its design. It’s just that its engine is capable of giving off a powerful performance.
