The SEMA Show->ke216 is arguably the best place to be if you're interested in the latest tech and tuning packages the auto industry has to offer, and the 2014 edition is no exception. Packed with any kind of vehicle from fast sports cars->ke506 to utilitarian vans, this year's show just got a lot more interesting thanks to the large number of F-150->ke423 trucks displayed in various booths. Skyjacker Suspension's take on the F-150 is just one of the aluminum-bodied trucks->ke1311 that came to Las Vegas, and the Louisiana-based shop has plenty of features to showcase.

Known for developing some of the most innovating suspension parts since the 1970s, Skyjacker selected Ford's brand-new, lightweight, 2015 F-150 as a base for its latest six-foot lift kit. Dubbed Project Controlled Burn, the truck is also equipped with a series of aftermarket parts supplied by other companies and finished in a hot rod-like livery.

"This ride highlights how you really can have it all when you customize your truck to fit your lifestyle -- it can be a hot-looking ride with controlled stability, while being capable of all the on-road and off-road adventures you want and deserve," said Lonnie McCurry Sr., president of Skyjacker.

Maybe Ford->ke31 should take notes for its next-generation Raptor?

Ford F-150 By Skyjacker Suspensions in detail

Skyjacker's very own six-foot lift kit is definitely the highlight of this build, but Project Controlled Burn is more than just a stock F-150 sitting high above the ground. The new suspension system works in conjunction with a set of American Force wheels wrapped in Duck Commander off-road tires, while an SSBC high-performance braking system provides the necessary stopping power.

The standard front and rear bumpers have been replaced by Fab Fours parts, while a Warn Zeon winch is ready to get this truck out of trouble at any given time. Bushwacker fender flares, AMP Research power steps, a Backbone truck rack, and Rigid Industries lighting systems round out the aftermarket equipment list. Lastly, the truck is wrapped in a black foil with hot rod-like, fiery graphics adorning its nose and doors.

The cabin now features Katzkin seat covers and WeatherTech floor liners, while an Edge programmer provides extra horsepower and torque under the hood. Needless to say, this F-150 is ready to climb anywhere and haul just about anything.
