Ford Evos Santa Sleigh Concept

In the Christmas night the busiest man on Earth is Santa - that’s no doubt. And during the years Rudolph has been a real help, but maybe is time for it to take a little brake, especially now that Ford has designed this special Evos Sleigh Concept.

The concept is powered by a 1.0-litre EcoBoost cylinder engine that delivers a total of 125 HP and 125 lbs-ft of torque. Of course this is much more power than the one delivered by Santa’s nine reindeer. But, Ford did some math and apparently this Evos Sleigh Concept is cheaper to maintain than the reindeer: currently Santa currently spends in excess of £122 million (about $191 million) on carrots to fuel his reindeer each year, but with the new Evos sleigh he will reduce cost to just £12 million ($18 million).

"They may look cute, but Santa’s team of nine reindeer create a staggering 214,670 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions each year, so something had to be done to help him re-discover his greener roots," said Ford car designer Paul Wraith.

Its not that we do not like Ford’s idea, but we like the reindeer better. And we really like to hear every year: "Go Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen and Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen!"

Mr. Santa will no longer need the help of his reindeer because this concept is very high-tech and the materials used are of high quality.

Another concept. Well I am sure that Santa will be waiting for this sleigh on Christmas of 2012. Ford should be ready on that. Santa might knock on their door and ask for this cute sleigh.

Looks like his improvised sleigh of 2012 with matching gift at the back. Great concept Mr. Santa. I think Santa will no longer need the help of his reindeer ’cause it has the best performance, I guess.

Just a concept?? Haha! This is really amazing and futuristic! Knowing that we are in 2012, this is really suited for our year and beyond.

A Santa sleigh concept? Seriously, it is so cool! smiley It’s just too bad that Christmas is very near to end, and yet it will remain as a fancy vehicle only. Anyway, it looks like a toy on that.
