Meet the new M6 Hurricane RR - the world’s fastest 4-seat coupe. Based on a BMW M6, the Hurricane RR is G-Power’s latest full speed creation. It may look familiar, considering this is practically the same kit that was blended in to the BMW M5 juts a couple of months, but this latest masterpiece is just a tad faster, making it that much cooler. Following in the footsteps of the M5 Hurricane RR, the M6 can now develop a total of 800 HP and is capable of hitting a top speed of no less than 230 mph. This increase was attained by adding the same bi-supercharger system to the V10 engine as found in the previous Hurricane RR. This setup is cooled using a dual-flow, water-cooled charge air cooler system and works with a new set of lightweight, precisely balanced Mahle high-performance forged pistons. The result of all that work is a sprint from 0 to 60 mph made in 4.35 seconds, from 0 to 124 mph in 9.5 seconds, and to 186 mph in 24.9 seconds. The latter being the only time that was an improvement over the M5 Hurricane RR, albeit slightly. Check out the full story plus the press release after the jump. To make the BMW M6 look and feel the part, G-Power added an aerodynamic package that includes a carbon-fiber front skirt and a rear spoiler, 20" forged wheels, a high-performance braking system, and the G-POWER RS coil-over sports suspension. You can order the G-POWER M6 HURRICANE RR as a complete vehicle for EUR 252,100 ($347,141 at the current rates) or you can order the kit including assembly for EUR 56,000 ($77,112 at the current rates). The BMW M5 Hurricane RR was enough to break the record for the world’s fastest sedan following the record set by the BMW M5 Hurricane RS. Does the BMW M6 have what it takes to do the same in the four-seater coupe segment? G-Power seems to think so. Press release After the G-POWER M5 HURRICANE RS with bi-supercharger engine and 750 hp / 551 kW broke the record for the “world’s fastest saloon car” at the end of 2008 with a speed of 367.4 km/h, G-POWER went one step further in 2010, taking the existing record to a new all-time best of 372 km/h with the next evolution of the same car – the M5 HURRICANE RR. The inside of the ten-cylinder four-valve engine has been optimised by lightweight, precisely balanced Mahle high-performance forged pistons with lower compression and increased stiffness. Dedicated components are also required in place of the series-production con rods and piston pins, which are not specified to handle the significant increase in forces. Modified mapping for the engine electronics also contributes to the higher peak output of 800 hp / 588 kW at between 7,500 and 8,000 rpm. The maximum torque of 800 Nm is generated at 5,000 rpm. Further contributors to the high-speed capability of the M6 HURRICANE RR are the G-POWER high-performance braking system and the G-POWER RS coil-over sports suspension, with 9-way adjustability for compression and rebound plus infinitely variable height adjustment. 2 comments: G-Power M6 Hurricane RR*Registration is required to post in this forum
