When the luxury German automaker revealed the new BMW X5 M it was announced that the multi passenger sports vehicle would deliver 555 HP from a twin turbocharged V8. While having nothing to do with the factory’s M Division, the new tuning package from the aftermarket manufacturer G-Power has been boosted to deliver a maximum output of 625 HP, a 70 HP increase over the most powerful X5 in BMW’s lineup.
The new Typhoon RS comes with a vented hood, a set of extremely bold fender flares and a more aggressive front fascia with larger air inlets and two rows of LED lit driving lights. Out back there is a new rear apron made to work with the company’s stainless steel sport mufflers. Tying the front and rear of the modified Bimmer together are a pair of sports inspired side skirts that replace the rather impractical factory running boards. Finishing off the Typhoon RS is a set of custom black 23 inch forged aluminum rims with a chrome lip.
Thanks to a supercharger, the 4.8 Liter engine now produces 625 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to those new numbers, the Typhoon only takes 4.5 seconds to spring from 0 to 60 MPH and reach an impressive top speed of 177 MPH.
Its true that the current generation BMW M3 is without a doubt a genuine high performance machine, but the older E46 M3 is still looking as good as ever and can be had at quite a discount. So why ditch your slightly used car in favor of a brand new one especially when you can add a tuning kit like G-Power’s. The performance upgrade will not only boost the output of your Bimmer’s straight six up to 450 HP but will also increase handling performance and add some style with a new set of rolling stock. One of the best features of the G-Power kit is that there is no need to crack open the engine to fit forged pistons or reinforced connecting rods. Even the exhaust is left just like it came from the factory spitting out the spent gasses that the centrifugal supercharger pumped into the M-tuned engine.
The upgrade package also includes a set of G-POWER’s new Silverstone Diamond alloys measuring 20 inches in diameter and wrapped in very sticky MICHELIN Pilot Sport tires sized 245/30 in the front and 285/25 in the rear to complete the staggered setup. Hidden behind the new rims is a G-POWER coil-over suspension that is aimed at keeping body roll to a minimum and all four corners of the car planted firmly when the G-POWER M3 goes deep into a turn.
Even though you can use the stock exhaust, G-Power also offers a stainless steel sport muffler that features the legendary G-POWER “DEEPTONE” technology for the ultimate sound and performance. If you happen to be a fan of BMW roadsters, you will be happy to know that the kit will also fit the Z4M model.
Top Speed has already shown you the German tuner Hamann’s take on BMW’s redesigned roadster, the Z4. There is another group of tuners in the Bavarian region that are out to make the drop top Bimmer even more of a sporty ride.
The tuning house G-Power starts off by adding a set of their signature Silverstone wheels and height-adjustable G-POWER coil-overs in order to achieve the perfect stance. The GZ4-RS, 9 way adjustable shock absorbers also help to tune the dampening characteristics of the Z4 to work best with the sticky 295 series rubber incase there is a challenge regarding the vehicle’s handling abilities.
The German mechanics have managed to keep the grease out from under their fingernails. Tahnks to factory plug and play connectors, they have been able to extract an additional 45 HP from the car’s twin turbo straight six 100% electronically, increasing the output of G-Power’s Z4 sDrive 35i to 345 HP, good enough to get the new BMW to sprint from 0 to 60 PH in just 4.7 seconds down from the standard version’s 5.1 second 0 to 60 MPH time.
The German tuners G-Power are able to boast being creators of the world’s fastest sedan, and a wild SUV. The latest addition to their list of extremely modified bimmers is the BMW M6-based Hurricane CS.
G-POWER is a German BMW tuner who currently holds the record for the world’s fastest sedan with their 228 MPH M5 HURRICANE. The company’s latest creation the G-POWER TYPHOON is based on a BMW X5 SUV and follows the same supercharged philosophy to make 525 hp from the 4.8-liter V8.
The BMW M3 is a superb automobile; it goes from 0-60 MPH (0-100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds and will cover the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds. From the factory the M3 is powered by a 414 HP 4.0 liter V8; however that did not stop the German tuners G-Power from making ridiculous amounts of power from the vehicle. With the addition of a supercharger they were able to make 635 HP.
The rationale behind the supercharger was to significantly increase the low end torque of the M3 as well as increase power throughout the entire RPM range. For those who are hesitant to boost a factory BMW engine, but still want more from a M3, G-Power has developed an engine swap package where they will transplant the 550 HP V10 from the M5 into the smaller and lighter M3. Now that’s a German muscle car.
The BMW Z4 3.0i (231Hp) got a brand new performance kit developed by the German tuner G-Power. The new kit gives an ASA T1-12 supercharger to the 3.0l straight-six engine. Featuring a complete exhaust system with racing-headers and catalysts and a new ECU system the engine performs now 375 hp at 6.450 rpm and 420 Nm torque at 4.650 rpm. With a sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h of 4.9sec and to 200km/h in 15.1 sec the new engine can race now the BMW Z4M. The top speed of the G-Power G4 is 300 km/h.
The conversion to the G-Power EVO III configuration costs around €18,850 or $29,900 and it also includes installation. The G-Power offers along with the kit a complete tuning program which includes: aerodynamic body kit, 20-inch light-alloy wheels, suspension modifications, high-performance brake system with eight-piston fixed callipers and 380 x 34mm brake discs on the front axle and exclusive interior components
G-Power, the well-known tuning company specialised in Bmw vehicles unveiled its latest masterpiece: the G-Power M6 Hurricane based on the Bmw M6 Convertible. The vehicle enters in the exclusive list of one of the most powerful convertibles in the world. Powered by a 635 hp V10 engine, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 11.9 seconds and from 0-300 km/h in 34.5 seconds from standstill. Although the M6 is usually limited at 250 km/h, The G-Power Hurricane is limited at 320 km/h in order to respect the safety regulations but according to the manufacturer the top speed can be close to 335 km/h.
The performances of the car need high performance components, that’s why the tuning company changed almost the entire bodykit of the car. The new kit consists in new front apron made from light carbon fiber, new side skirts, re-designed rear bumper and new rear air diffuser with integrated exhaust system. Price of the vehicle? 183,000 Euros.
On January 31st at 13:20 pm at the high speed racetrack at Papenburg the 730hp G-POWER M5 HURRICANE reaches a top speed of exact 360km/h and with it broke the old world record for the fastest street legal BMW of 331,78 km/h.
The M5 Hurricane is powered by a 5.0-litre V10 engine that delivers 730 hp. When they unveiled the tuning-kit they say it will hit a top speed of 340 km/h, but the Papenburg record broke any expectations.
Any weaknesses regarding handling and comfort can difficulty be proven to this class leader. Nevertheless, the 3series offers sufficient rooms for intensive optimizations à la G-POWER in terms of design and engine varieties. The unobtrusive sporty G-POWER aerodynamic program and the comprehensive rim program represent the entrance into the G-POWER offer for the 3series.
