The 2011 Mustang Shelby GT500 is a star among Mustang stars, but German tuner, Geiger Cars, has released a package that is sure to make the muscle car shine even brighter. The Mustang Shelby GT640 "Golden Snake" has undergone a transformation that includes a bump in power and a sparkling new exterior color. It can be yours for 89,000 euros, or about $126,000 at the current exchange rates.
The 550 HP aluminum 5.4 Liter supercharged V8 engine has been manhandled to deliver 640 PS (531 kicking ponies) with the use of a 2.3 liter compressor and a new exhaust system. The exterior is brightened up with a dead gold that lights up with the reflection of the sun. Geiger Cars then used matte black Geiger rims and a carbon fiber hood to contrast with the vibrant new exterior color.

Exterior and Interior
The GT640 Golden Snake Mustang comes with a pretty impressive exterior package: a carbon fiber bonnet with an integrated intake air channel, a carbon fiber front spoiler lip, and an exquisite dead gold exterior paint job. The car sits on a new set of wheels, size 8.5x20 inch front and 10x20 inch rear, painted in matte black to contrast with the bright exterior look. In addition, the Mustang was equipped with a high-quality sound system with EU navigation.
The aluminum 5.4 Liter supercharged V8 engine found in the 2011 Shelby Mustang GT500 was given a 2.3 liter compressor and a Geiger stainless steel sport exhaust system to bump the power output from 550 HP 510 lb-ft of torque to an impressive 640 PS (531 HP) and 588 lb-ft of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is now made in 3.7 seconds, while top speed is 183 mph.
If you want the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT640 "Golden Snake" it can be had for 89,000 euros, or about $126,000 at the current exchange rates.
If we remember correctly, this is the first tuning package we have seen for the Shelby GT500, so GeigerCars can relax for a little while as they are the only ones who have massaged the GT500 to do more. However, if we consider the fact that one of the Mustang’s competitors, the BMW M3, has enough tuning packages to drown out the "Golden Snake", then the Mustang’s competition gets a little stiff.
The latest tuning package for the BMW M3 is the V8RS from Manhart Racing. This package develops an impressive 724 HP and 641 lbs-ft of torque, making the Golden Snake look like a little baby in comparison.
