Rumors have been circulating for quite some time now that Mercedes will bring a new model to its lineup. And now those rumors are coming true, as the new V-Class set to arrive on the market sometime next year. This is the second time Mercedes-Benz will make use of the V-Class name — Mercedes still calls the Viano the V-Class in select markets around the globe.

The new V-Class will replace both the Viano and the wildly unsuccessful R-Class , and will be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show . Sales will begin shortly after that.

The new V-Class — codenamed W447 — will receive a more aggressive design language when compared to the current Viano and a more luxurious interior. The first images reveal an interior with a removable touch pad on the upper section of the center console, and a premium cabin with wood inserts, chocolate leather upholstery and several metallic accents.

Under the hood, we will likely see gasoline and diesel engines, with the most powerful version delivering up to 190 horsepower.

Volvo is one of those automakers that rarely makes a splash in the auto scene. Unless it comes out with a concept - a feat in itself - it’s usually content with just sitting out of the spotlight and producing cars that are known for their fuel efficiency and safety.

That being said, we still have to give due attention to the automaker, especially when it decided to roll out a bevy of new models for nearly its entire product line.

One of these models is the new S80 , the Swedish automaker’s luxury sedan. Previous versions didn’t really inspire a whole lot of interest from the market, but that doesn’t mean that the new S80 doesn’t come with some interesting new features about it that could make it a safe choice for a luxury model.

We certainly see some merits on the new S80. Sure, there are some things we don’t like about it too, but with a brand like Volvo, the case is always the customer taking what he can get.

Updated 08/02/2013: Volvo announced today that the 2014 S80 luxury sedan starts at $39,900. Click past the jump to see all of the pricing details.

It was expected that once Volvo dropped the new-generation V40 onto the market, all the other models in the lineup would follow suit. The first model sent back to the design board was the S60 , but only for a minor facelift. The model made its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next to a few other updated Volvo models.

The current S60 was unveiled in 2010, and this is the first update offered for it, even though Volvo opted to only update the exterior and the interior look.

The 2014 S60 receives a new front fascia with more focused and determined-looking headlamps, a wider grille, daylight running lights and new taillights with LED light. For the interior Volvo adds in new upholstery colors, new wood inlays, a new headliner, and the silk metal frames around the air vents and light controls.

Giugiaro is celebrating its 45th anniversary with the Pentacour - a Gran Turismo concept car that draws inspiration from the discipline "invented" by David Belle in France in the 1980s. Parcour is a two-seat car that combines elements from an SUV, a crossover, a GT and a mid-engine sports car. The concept will be offered in both coupe and roadster configurations.

The model is powered by a Lamborghini -sourced 5.2-liter V-10 engine that delivers a total of 550 horsepower and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just in 3.6 seconds. The concept is offered with four different driving modes — Comfort, Sport, Off-road and Ice — each being distinguished by a different color on the dashboard: white, red, orange and respectively blue.

On the exterior, the new Pentacour will feature two distinguishing traits: the A-pillar is detached from the windscreen and also acts as a deflector, while the rear pillar is designed to direct the air over the bonnet and toward the retractable spoiler. It sits on 22-inch wheels that raise the car from the ground significantly.

UPDATE 04/17/13: A new promo video of the Giugiaro Parcour has been released. Check it out by clicking on the photo above. Enjoy!

UPDATE 7/11/13: Car and Driver got a crack at the Parcour concept and it made a video of this sweet crossover/SUV/supercar doing its thing. You can see the video after the jump.

Mercedes has just announced the addition of an even more powerful version to its C-Class lineup. Called C63 AMG "Edition 507" – the “507” is a clear indication of the engine’s output - the new model will use much of the same technology as the SLS AMG supercar. The new elements - including forged pistons, connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft - will transform the new "Edition 507" into a more powerful, yet lighter sports model.

The new C63 AMG "Edition 507" will also be distinguished by design elements seen on models like the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series . These extra styling elements combined with the anticipated power hike definitely get our attention.

So, if you happen to be one of those crazy people that think the 451-horsepower C63 AMG is just a little too timid for you, the "Edition 507" just might be the car for you. Or maybe you would prefer a fighter jet; better yet, a rocket ship… Yeah, that may satisfy your itch for speed!

UPDATE 07/04/2013: Mercedes has released pricing details for the new C63 AMG "507 Edition" for the U.S. and German markets. More details after the jump.

Audi is preparing to make a big step into the electrification of its lineup with the unveiling of its brand-new A3 e-tron. The model was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and will be put on sale in early 2014.

In case you have taken a little vacation under a rock for the last few years, Audi has been tossing around the e-tron designation since 2009. At the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, Audi unveiled the first e-tron concept in the form of the 308-horsepower 2010 R8 e-tron .

Audi again dropped an e-tron concept in 2010 at the Detroit Auto Show with the A4-based concept that was rumored to see life in 2014. In concept guise, this model pumped out 201 horsepower and hit 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. This model, codenamed the 9X1, is supposedly under development and will hit production in 2014.

The e-tron line carried on with the A1 e-tron at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, which produced 101 horsepower. Then, at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the 2011 e-tron Spyder stopped the show with its 296-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 TDI engine and 86-horsepower electric motors that sprinted the convertible to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Audi finally unveiled the first production e-tron model, in the form of the 2013 A3 Sportback e-tron.

The Volkswagen Polo is one of the smallest cars in the manufacturer’s massive portfolio, but it’s also one of its most fun and most successful models as well. From tiny fuel sipping diesels up to WRC homologation models with high-stung turbocharged engines, there are many different flavors of Polo to suit everyone. They even make a Polo GTI if you want it. Of course, the tiny hatchback isn’t for everyone, so VW make a small crossover and a sedan version as well.

The car has been a massive sales success for Volkswagen , and the company has been doing everything it can to keep the car competitive and fresh. Apart from the various trim levels and engine options, the car has received regular and through refreshes. The last big one came in 2009 with the introduction of Mk 5 car in 2009. Now coming into 2014, the Polo receives another refresh that brings new engines, revised looks, better fuel economy and more equipment than ever before.

Oh, and before we get too far, this is all for our Euro friends. The Polo has no US release plans.

A few weeks before the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus announced they would "blow the top off " at the show. Back then, we all thought that we would see a Convertible version of the Evora , but we were so wrong. Lotus has decided to bring out the fastest roadster ever: the Exige S Roadster.

Based off the new Exige S , the roadster model will be powered by the same supercharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers a total of 345 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This engine sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and to 100 mph in 8.5 seconds. Being that this is a Roadster, safety precautions deem it necessary to lower the top speed to 233 km/h (145 mph).

The Exige S Roadster weighs just 1,166 kg (2,570 pounds) and features the same design elements as the coupe, except of course for its factory-fitted soft top roof that makes the car look even more muscular than the coupe.

Now for the bad news: the new Lotus Exige S Roadster won’t make it to the U.S. market, as it will only be offered in markets like Europe and Asia.

UPDATE 5/22/2013: Lotus has just unveiled the official pricing for the Exige S Roadster and is now available for order. See more after the jump

The Porsche 911 started its run back in 1963 - and oh what a run it is -, but it wasn’t until 1999 that a GT3 version was offered up for our ravenous consumption. It came to complete the series of performance vehicles that started back in 1973 with the 911 RS, a model that was capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and to 100 mph in 13 seconds.

Why the short history lesson? Well, the new generation GT3 has just made its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and would be nice to make a comparison between the things that were and the things to come.

The new GT3 is lighter and more powerful than the model it replaces, and it brings innovative features like the first active rear wheel steering in a production Porsche. There is a bad news too unfortunately: the new GT3 will only be offered with a PDK transmission - at least for now!

Update 05/20/2013: Porsche has unveiled a new video further detailing the GT3’s technical highlights. Enjoy!

Update 6/14/2013: Chris Harris was one of the first journalists to get his hands on the all-new 2014 911 GT3. As always, he released a video with his full review. Check it out, after the jump.
